All about the Bausele LANGSTONE FIELD WATCH «THE 80TH D-DAY COMMEMORATION WATCH»

A watch that honors the courage of COPP kayakers

The Bausele Langstone honors the courageous and covert operations of the English kayakers of the COPP (Combined Operations Assault Pilotage Parties) who carried out reconnaissance missions on potential landing beaches during the Second World War. This unit was known for its unwavering courage and precise preparation, and the Langstone Clock was named after the Langstone Hotel, which served as accommodation for these fearless men.

A special feature of this watch is its historical reference: it contains sand from the legendary SWORD Beach in Normandy, one of the crucial D-Day landing zones. This detail gives the Langstone a deeper meaning and makes it a tribute to the missions of the COPP fighters who moved into enemy waters to pave the way for the Allies.

Precision and design – a monument in the shape of a watch

Inside the Langstone beats the reliable Seiko NH35 automatic movement, which is known for its precision and durability. With a power reserve of 36 hours, it is ideally equipped for the challenges of everyday life. The watch draws on the heritage of classic field watches with an oversized crown that is both functional and a design highlight.

The dial, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with five layers of anti-reflective coating, shows an elegant, vintage-inspired design. The blue hands contrast with the historic red accents of the 24-hour scale, symbolizing the determination of the COPP fighters. Thanks to the use of C3 Luminova, the watch remains easy to read even in the dark - a homage to the unit's nighttime missions.
