Nereide Verdigris – The colors of Venice on your wrist
The Nereide Verdigris is a tribute to the unique aesthetic of Venice – a city that constantly changes over time. Salty air, humidity, and the lagoon water slowly oxidize metals and create the characteristic green-turquoise patina, known as Verdigris. These colors still define the appearance of domes, statues, and architectural details of the lagoon city today.

This fascinating interplay of time, material, and nature forms the basis for the exceptional dial of this watch.
A dial marked by time
The dial of the Nereide Verdigris is made from a brass base and treated in an elaborate, handcrafted process. Through a combination of controlled oxidation and targeted flame treatment, the characteristic patina with its vibrant color nuances develops.
This creates irregular patterns in green, turquoise, and blue tones reminiscent of weathered metal surfaces in Venice. Each individual dial plate reacts differently to the process – making each watch unique.
The textured surface creates an impressive depth and changes its effect depending on the light – a lively play of color, texture, and reflection.
Inspiration from the lagoon city
The idea behind the Nereide Verdigris came from observing how metals change over the years. Copper and brass develop their typical patina under the influence of lagoon air – a natural process that visually shapes the city.
This natural transformation was deliberately applied to the dial to authentically capture the materiality and color world of Venice. The result is a timepiece that not only tells time but also makes its effect visible.
Robust case and high-quality materials
The case is made of 316L stainless steel, combining durability with timeless elegance. With a diameter of 42 mm and a balanced case height, the watch offers a bold yet wearable presence on the wrist.
The unidirectional rotating bezel is equipped with a tungsten insert, which is especially scratch-resistant due to its high hardness (9/10 on the Mohs scale).
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal reliably protects the dial and ensures clear visibility under all conditions.
Mechanics with Swiss precision
Inside, the proven Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement in Swiss-made quality powers the watch. This reliable caliber stands for precise timekeeping and robust everyday usability.
The case back features an engraving depicting the submarine Nereide – a reference to the maritime inspiration of the entire collection. At the same time, it emphasizes the watch’s professional standards.
Made for underwater use
The Nereide Verdigris is not only visually inspired by the underwater world but also technically designed for it. With a water resistance of 20 ATM (200 meters), it is perfectly suited for demanding underwater use.
The rotating bezel allows precise control of dive time, while the elements coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9 ensure excellent readability even in low light conditions.

My name is David and I have been deeply involved with watches for many years – not only as a dealer but especially as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I have been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project with reviews, videos, and genuine wearing experiences. Many of the watches you find here I have worn myself – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is deliberately kept personal. I only sell watches that I truly stand behind – no anonymous mass products, no dropshipping, no “quick trends.” Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are my priorities.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I like good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a noted weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it can sometimes take a bit longer. As a rule, I respond within a few minutes or hours.
