All about the YEMA DIVER YDIV24-AMS - NEW
YEMA Diver — Sleeker Appearance, Clear Character
Introduction
The revised Diver version shows how classic diver aesthetics can be interpreted in a modern way: YEMA has deliberately slimmed down the iconic model without diluting its robust identity. The result is a watch that appears serious both in everyday life and underwater, while offering a noticeably lighter presence on the wrist.
Vintage Character, Rethought
The design reflects the DNA of the late 1950s and early 1960s, but the reissue is by no means merely nostalgic; rather, historical codes such as the skin-diver dial or the broad arrow shape of the hands are implemented in a way that meets today's requirements for readability and wearing comfort. This blend of tradition and contemporary craftsmanship is what makes the watch appealing.
Case and proportions
The new case made of 316L stainless steel has a pleasant diameter of around 39.5 mm, its height has been reduced and the lugs slightly adjusted, so the watch sits more harmoniously on the wrist than previous versions. Polished chamfers contrast with brushed surfaces, and the overall finely tuned proportions ensure that the diver appears compact without losing visual impact.
Dial & Readability
The matte, lightly sandblasted dial offers a calm stage for the oversized Arabic numerals and long hour markers; together with the distinctive Broad-Arrow hands, it creates readability that leaves no questions unanswered. The design is functionally thought out: the minute hand reaches far, and the contrasts are chosen so that the time can be immediately grasped in any situation.
Luminosity and bezel
For use in poor visibility, the hands, indices, and bezel are equipped with Super-LumiNova Grade A, ensuring the watch remains reliably readable even at depth or at night. The unidirectional dive bezel is classically engraved and finely tuned in its new, slightly smaller version to the slimmer case — a detail that enhances functionality without disturbing the line.
Hands, crown, and details
The broad-arrow hands are not only visually distinctive, they are proportioned to ensure immediate orientation; the screw-down crown with embossed YEMA logo and the prominent crown guards define the shape and are practical to handle. Small but fine finishing elements thus convey a serious tool feeling that you sense when putting on the watch.

Bracelet options and wearing comfort
Whether on the classic beads-of-rice steel bracelet with diver extension or on the modern TPU rubber strap: the Diver adapts to the wearer and remains consistently comfortable to wear. The latter is lightweight, robust, and low-maintenance, while the steel bracelet with its tight links and folding clasp offers a nostalgic yet reliable wearing experience — both options combine everyday usability and style.
Mechanics & Precision
The proven Sellita SW200-1 serves as the movement, a Swiss automatic caliber with 28,800 A/h and a power reserve of about 38 hours; this caliber stands for robust reliability and good serviceability. In practice, this means a mechanical base you can rely on, whether for everyday wear or diving use.
Everyday usability and application
With a water resistance of 20 BAR (200 m), the double-domed sapphire crystal, and the satin-finished case back with historic emblem, the watch is more than a design object — it is a practical companion that asserts itself confidently both underwater and on land. The revised shape supports daily comfort without compromising robustness.
Conclusion
The new YEMA Diver combines the clear identity of classic dive watches with a finely tuned modernization: slimmer in profile, more precise in readability, and with mechanical reliability that underscores the claim of a true tool watch. For all who equally appreciate vintage charm and functional virtues, this model represents a very successful balance.

FAQs
About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.
So come along on a journey full of watches... off the mainstream... and if you have a question, please feel free to ask me anytime via the form, chat, WhatsApp, email or phone.
I am very much looking forward to meeting you.
PS: My hobbies & passions include the internet (first agency already in 1996), Denmark, France's coasts (Brittany, Normandy & Côte d’Azur), hiking, e-MTB, sales (Bachelor of Sales) and photography.
My Achilles' heel includes children's chocolate, good food, sneakers & of course watches... :-)
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.
Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it can sometimes take a bit longer. As a rule, I respond within a few minutes or hours.
Something can slip past me sometimes too. Or the technology doesn't work as it should. Feel free to write to me again at david@watchdavid.com
Mechanics - Sometimes things can happen there too
Before I ship your order, I carefully check each watch for visible defects.
