All about the YEMA Rallygraf Meca Quartz Reverse Panda YMHF1580

A partnership with ambition

As the official timekeeper of the Alpine Elf Cup Series, the new Rallygraf Limited Edition perfectly combines motorsport and watchmaking: it is less a mere homage and more a direct translation of the racing spirit into a wearable instrument. Every line, every color, and every technical decision aims to capture the dynamics of racetracks, pit stops, and the smell of gasoline into an object you simply love to wear.

Dial and Legibility

The dial follows a classic Bi-Compax architecture reminiscent of historic racing car dashboards, with the Alpine-typical Car-Blue look standing out particularly on the light panda base. The two subdials are placed and designed for reading in fractions of a second; the large date at six o'clock and the Alpine logo at the top of the dial stylishly frame the motorsport theme, while the blue tip of the central chronograph seconds hand connects the dial and tachymeter scale.

Case: Slim Appearance

The reinterpretation forgoes the traditional raised outer bezel, gaining slimness: the case height was reduced by about 0.8 mm, making it noticeably more elegant without losing presence. The area between the crystal and the mid-case flows more clearly, the contour was finely modeled, and the mix of finely brushed and polished surfaces creates a lively play of light that emphasizes the sporty character.

Tachymeter as Inner Grandeur

Instead of a raised bezel, the tachymeter scale sits as an inner chapter ring, making the dial's viewing window larger and more immersive. This design not only improves legibility but also gives the chronograph a deeper spatial effect: looking through the curved glass creates the impression that the scale literally runs over the dial, adding extra visual tension to the instrument.

Glass and Optical Finesse

The double-domed sapphire crystal is not only scratch-resistant but also contributes to a striking visual effect with its curved shape: slight distortions appear at the edges, enlarging the tachymeter scale and making the dial appear lively. This effect is more than a gimmick — it enhances the instrument aesthetic and recalls the readability of racing car dashboards at sharp viewing angles.

Mechanics for Purists

Inside, the hand-wound Sellita SW510 in the “BH b” variant works, a movement that runs at 28,800 half oscillations and offers about 60 hours of power reserve. This caliber brings classic mechanics back to the forefront: those who feel the winding in their hand, operate the clutch, and use the chronograph functions precisely experience an immediate connection to the machine — an experience many enthusiasts prefer over electronic convenience.

Refinement and Collector's Value

The movement decoration with perlage and blued screws is not blind luxury but a visible sign of craftsmanship that shows in the details. On the screw-down case back, the iconic car logo is prominently displayed, deeply embossed with hydraulic pressure and finely executed with polished and satin-finished areas; the individual numbering emphasizes the limited collector character of the series.

Strap and finish

For wearing, the edition offers a high-quality, perforated leather strap in Alpine blue that picks up the dial's color scheme and, through its grain and perforation, provides both breathability and retro charm. The lugs are proportioned so that the watch sits balanced on the wrist and the overall look is neither too sporty nor too formal — a successful balance for everyday wear and track days.

Conclusion: Motorsport to wear

This Rallygraf Alpine Cup Series Limited Edition is a clear testament to how motorsport iconography and watchmaking substance come together: reduced case shapes, a large, easily readable dial, the fine tactile feel of the hand-winding, and careful craftsmanship make it a real hit for both collectors and active drivers. Those who value mechanical authenticity and a clear racing statement will find a very coherent choice here.

FAQs

About me

My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.

Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.

As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

So come along on a journey full of watches... off the mainstream... and if you have a question, please feel free to ask me anytime via the form, chat, WhatsApp, email or phone.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

PS: My hobbies & passions include the internet (first agency already in 1996), Denmark, France's coasts (Brittany, Normandy & Côte d’Azur), hiking, e-MTB, sales (Bachelor of Sales) and photography.

My Achilles' heel includes children's chocolate, good food, sneakers & of course watches... :-)

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.

The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Cancellation & Return Shipping

You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

Mechanics - Sometimes things can happen there too

Before I ship your order, I carefully check each watch for visible defects.
