MAISON HORLOGÈRE NANTAISE

Originally, Jean-François Kerboul and Erwan Kerneur, two lovers of beautiful Tocantes, joined forces for a unique project: to be part of the great French watchmaking tradition.

The name “Akrone” naturally stood out and was reminiscent of “Chronos,” the god of time. It is based on achrony, the idea of being outside of time, to highlight a unique approach and offering while evoking the two “K” of the founders’ surnames.

THE CLOCKS

C-02 NO BAT - NO BATTERY

This model is inspired by the color code of a legendary watch, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, which has attracted a lot of attention recently, especially the “No Radiation” model with a large logo at the 6 o'clock position, at a time when it It was important to mention that luminous matter was no longer radioactive.

We had fun imagining our C-02 with these codes, reinterpreting this logo to confirm that our watch has an automatic French caliber! A Luminova X1 Old Radium, a fully luminous bezel, white hands and a matte black dial, very useful for reading the time and diving time perfectly.

A WRIST DECOMPRESSION TABLE

Little used these days as divers are equipped with computers that automatically calculate underwater stops, this watch is a fun nod to those who remember the first decompression tables used in diving. These have evolved greatly depending on the country and the years. Using the table, you can calculate the ideal decompression time based on a specific immersion time and depth to avoid accidents. The bezel is also engraved to measure time spent underwater.

WATCH THE EBB & FLOW!

This model is inspired by the color code of a legendary watch, the Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer, whose dial featured a tide display function. We had fun imagining our C-02 with this tide tracking feature on the bezel while respecting this nautical color code! The 12-hour tide tracking feature allows you to sail and surf with the changing tides, which is very useful on the open sea!

We had fun imagining our C-02 with these retro codes: a Luminova X1 Old Radium, a fully luminous bezel, white hands and a matte black dial, very useful for reading the time perfectly.

"I've known the guys from Akrone for ages and have been an absolute fan from the very beginning. I'm always amazed at what great watches Akrone brings out. Always the right idea at the start, which is often downright inspiring. The four watches in the C-02 series do exactly the same thing. Who would have thought that you could read the ebb and flow of the tide with a watch? At least I didn't know that until now. I also think that the fact that you can bring the decompression times back to a level that you can actually use in REAL LIVE is very, very cool. I also think the NO BATTERY variant, which refers to the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms "No Radiation", is just MEGA!"
