All about the Hanhart PIONEER Mk II old white

Hanhart has earned a firm place in the world of precision chronographs by setting standards for decades. As early as 1938 Hanhart developed a single-pusher chronograph specifically for naval officers. This first chronograph used the in-house “Caliber 40”, which was characterized by its reliability and functionality. Just a year later, in 1939, Hanhart presented the first pilot's chronographs with the "Caliber 41", a column-wheel movement that integrated the innovative flyback function. This feature made it possible to reset the stopwatch with a single press and immediately start a new time measurement.

In the 1990s Hanhart took up this glorious past and began offering faithful replicas of its historical chronographs. These re-editions were met with great enthusiasm by collectors and watch lovers as they perfectly embodied the combination of tradition and modern watchmaking.

The renaissance of the PIONEER models

With the introduction of the PIONEER series in 2012, Hanhart presented three iconic models: the Mk I, Mk II and TachyTele b>. These watches have not only been technically improved, but also received an elegant dial in old white, which takes up the vintage charm of the originals. The PIONEER Mk II model is particularly eye-catching because it is based on the historic pilot's chronographs from 1939.

Striking design and functionality

The PIONEER Mk II combines the classic design elements of the original model with modern accents. The case measures 40 mm in diameter and has a height of 15 mm, which makes it appear both elegant and robust. A special feature of this watch are the two pushers: the upper pusher is positioned asymmetrically, while the lower reset pusher is in eye-catching red. This coloring comes from a legend that says that a pilot's wife marked the trigger red so that her husband would think of her every time he used it.

Robustness and waterproofness

For Hanhart, reliability is the top priority. The PIONEER Mk II is therefore equipped with a closed, screwed case back that guarantees water resistance of up to 10 bar. This makes the watch not only the ideal companion in the cockpit, but also for everyday life and outdoor activities.

bracelet and comfort

Hanhart attaches great importance to wearing comfort and longevity. The PIONEER Mk II comes with a durable calfskin strap that sits comfortably on the wrist right from the start. The robust stainless steel rivets on the leather bracelet underline the vintage character and ensure an authentic, historical look. A high-quality pin buckle made of stainless steel with the Hanhart logo also ensures a secure hold and easy handling.

A perfect companion for every occasion

With its timeless design and the proven Hanhart technology, the PIONEER Mk II is the ideal watch for every occasion, be it at work or in leisure time. The historical character combined with modern elements such as the Hanhart logo makes this watch a highlight within the PIONEER collection. This mix of tradition and innovation ensures that the PIONEER Mk II not only makes the hearts of watch lovers beat faster, but is also considered a real collector's item.

FAQs

About me

My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.

Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.

As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

So come along on a journey full of watches... off the mainstream... and if you have a question, please feel free to ask me anytime via the form, chat, WhatsApp, email or phone.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

PS: My hobbies & passions include the internet (first agency already in 1996), Denmark, France's coasts (Brittany, Normandy & Côte d’Azur), hiking, e-MTB, sales (Bachelor of Sales) and photography.

My Achilles' heel includes children's chocolate, good food, sneakers & of course watches... :-)

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.

The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Cancellation & Return Shipping

You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

Something can slip past me sometimes too. Or the technology doesn't work as it should. Feel free to write to me again at david@watchdavid.com

Mechanics - Sometimes things can happen there too
