All about the Ligure Tartaruga Blue LWT21009

Everything about the Ligure Tartaruga Blue LWT21009, a diver's watch with Swiss movement and Italian flair.

THE CASE

Tartaruga is the Italian word for turtle, and these can be found in numerous variants along the coasts of the Riviera in Italy, where the inventors of the Ligure gathered their inspirations for the watch. The case is modeled after the shape of a turtle, with no edges, a square-rounded form with a domed sapphire crystal that seamlessly curves over the case like the shell of a turtle. A real eye-catcher in terms of design. The anti-reflective coating and the full anti-glare treatment guarantee optimal readability even under unfavorable lighting conditions.

DIAL AND HANDS

The model LWT21009 features a clearly structured blue dial with an accentuated white-red color scheme. It impresses with a distinctive look, high complexity, and design depth. Texture and coloring appear well thought out. The indexes are slightly recessed and extra polished, blending very harmoniously with the numbers into the overall appearance of the dial. Thanks to the  Super-LumiNova® illumination coating, good readability of the time is ensured even in the dark.

THE MOVEMENT of the Ligure Tartaruga Blue LWT21009

Inside the Ligure Tartaruga Blue works a reliable, robust, precise Swiss automatic movement that SW200-1, from the Swiss company Sellita. This movement is based on the basic design of the manufacture caliber ETA 2824 and includes the essential relevant functions expected from a diver's watch.

STRAP AND CLASP

The strap of the Ligure Tartaruga Blue fits seamlessly into the case, thus avoiding the annoying gap caused by a holder. In terms of wearing comfort, durability, and aesthetics, the strap is beyond any doubt. The Ligure straps are equipped with a quick-release mechanism, allowing the strap to be changed within seconds without tools.

THE CASE BACK

The back of the watch is made of stainless steel. In addition to the raised outline of Italy, the coordinates of Porto Venere are engraved, a reminiscence of a popular diving area in the Ligurian Riviera where many shipwrecks are located.

My personal view on the Ligure Tartaruga Blue LWT21009

David Drilling Fazit

"Diving watches are a dime a dozen. It is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd. This Ligure diving watch does a lot of things right. And it's absolutely not mainstream. You can literally feel the Italian way of life on your wrist. It's great how the bracelet virtually disappears "under" the case. One of the many great design features. The watch is also great for smaller wrists, as we only have 42.5mm lug to lug, with a diameter of 41mm. The highlight, however, is that it is also suitable for larger wrists thanks to the way the strap is attached to the case. Feel free to watch the video, even if it takes a little longer, it's worth it."

FAQs

About me

My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.

Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.

As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

So come along on a journey full of watches... off the mainstream... and if you have a question, please feel free to ask me anytime via the form, chat, WhatsApp, email or phone.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

PS: My hobbies & passions include the internet (first agency already in 1996), Denmark, France's coasts (Brittany, Normandy & Côte d’Azur), hiking, e-MTB, sales (Bachelor of Sales) and photography.

My Achilles' heel includes children's chocolate, good food, sneakers & of course watches... :-)

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.

The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Cancellation & Return Shipping

You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
