All about the Circula ProFlight Anthracite Pilot Watch

Pilot watches were developed about a century ago to reliably and precisely display time to pilots during flight. The most important characteristics of a classic pilot watch are therefore robustness and an easily readable dial.

Although these watches are no longer exclusively worn by pilots today, these aviation traditions are reflected in current models. Our Circula ProFlight combines historical elements of pilot watches with modern design, creating a timeless aesthetic. With a diameter of 40 mm, our pilot watches are ideally suited for most wrists.

Similar to field watches, our mechanical pilot watch foregoes a rotating bezel. The ProFlight is a classic three-hand watch with the characteristically large numerals of a pilot watch. These, as well as the indices and hands, are filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova®, allowing the time to be read easily and precisely even in the dark. Instead of the 12 o'clock position, there is the triangle with two dots typical for Baumuster A, which historically allowed pilots to read the time at a glance even under stress or in poor visibility conditions.

Thanks to a soft iron cage, our high-quality pilot watch is anti-magnetic up to 80,000 A/m, protecting the mechanical movement (Sellita SW200-1 in Elaboré grade) from magnetic fields in cockpits as well as from the influences of smartphones, laptops, and other electronic devices. The 316L stainless steel case is particularly scratch-resistant due to a special surface treatment and sapphire crystal. With water resistance up to 15 ATM, the pilot watch is not only suitable for everyday use but also perfectly equipped for water landings and subsequent swimming and diving.

The ProFlight is a unique pilot watch that skillfully combines modern design with the classic features of historical pilot watches. The carefully hand-sandblasted, faceted stainless steel case is not only robust but also anti-magnetic up to 80,000 A/m, protecting the reliable Swiss movement inside. With sapphire crystal and a special surface treatment, the case is particularly resistant to scratches and everyday wear.

The numerals on the dial are individually designed to ensure perfect readability and reflect the design codes of the case through a subtle blend of hard edges and precise curves. A circular structure within the dial reflects the rotation of the "propeller" seconds hand, giving the watch a dynamic and striking appearance.

As a traditional brand from Pforzheim, Circula stands for quality "Made in Germany". The ProFlight is equipped with a Swiss automatic movement, the Sellita SW200-1 caliber in Elaboré grade. Additionally, the watch offers anti-magnetism up to 80,000 A/m thanks to a soft iron cage that protects the movement from magnetic field interference. The case is scratch-resistant up to 1,200 Vickers due to surface hardening, and both the hands and indices are filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova®, guaranteeing optimal readability even in poor lighting conditions. The ProFlight is also water-resistant up to 150 meters and features a luminous, screw-down crown. With a diameter of 40 mm, a lug-to-lug length of 46 mm, and a height of 12 mm, the watch is perfectly sized for a comfortable fit on the wrist.

FAQs

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
