All about the Hanhart AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue
Introduction to the AQUASPHERE Collection
With the new collection AQUASPHERE, Hanhart opens a whole new chapter in its company history. As a renowned manufacturer of pilot and motorsport watches from the Black Forest, Hanhart is launching an independent diving watch series for the first time. The first model of this series, the AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue, measures 42 mm in diameter and is designed to compete with the best diving watches in the world. The traditional brand is making a clear statement that it offers top performance not only above but also below water.
From around the beginning / middle of April, the watches will be available again. Pre-order now.
Probation under extreme conditions
A special highlight: Fabio Tunno, the deepest German freediver in apnea diving, tested the watch for months under real conditions. Even during an impressive dive at 110 meters depth, the AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue proved its reliability. Hanhart's fundamental principles of highest functionality, ease of use, exact precision, and best readability also apply in the depths. Fabio Tunno praised the watch as a reliable companion in his competitions, whether in local lakes or at colorful coral reefs.
Inspiration from one's own history
Known for its iconic pilot watches like the 417 ES, Hanhart had to look to the future to evolve. Until now, there was a lack of a collection that meets the demands of diving sports while also impressing with a modern design. Over three years ago, the team began developing the new AQUASPHERE to fill this gap. The best features of the proven PRIMUS Diver were incorporated into the new model. The result: a watch that seamlessly combines technical precision and modern design.
Technical sophistication and sporty design
The AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue impresses with its robust construction and a variety of technical innovations. The characteristic, fluted bezel of the PRIMUS Diver has been adopted, but technically refined. More rounded radii and an optimized click mechanism with 60 precise clicks provide maximum safety, as the bezel can only be turned counterclockwise. This prevents an unintentional shortening of the dive time.
Robust and functional for depth
For use in deep dives, the watch is water-resistant up to 30 ATM (approximately 300 meters) and features a helium valve at 10 o'clock, specifically designed for deep dives in pressure chambers. This protects the watch from damage during the decompression phase. A crown guard provides additional security, while the double-sided anti-reflective sapphire glass resists scratches and reflections.

Superior readability underwater
The readability of the watch is excellent even under extreme lighting conditions. The hands, appliques, and the number 12 on the dial are coated with Super-LumiNova® C1. Likewise, the numbers, index marks, and the triangle on the ceramic bezel are luminous to make important information quickly accessible. The hour hand is equipped with an additional bridge to clearly distinguish it from the minute hand, while the tip of the second hand is painted red, which increases visibility. The rehaut at the edge of the dial also allows for a more precise second reading.
Choice between textile and stainless steel band
The AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue is available with either a Hookstrap™ textile band or a robust stainless steel band. The textile band is characterized by its easy adjustability and lightweight, making it ideal for sports activities. The stainless steel band, on the other hand, scores with its durability and easy maintenance. It features a quick-release mechanism and a clasp with diver extension and fine adjustment options, making the watch particularly versatile.
A statement for divers and enthusiasts
Hanhart sets new standards in the field of diving watches with the AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue, while also offering a design that elegantly emphasizes the connection to the maritime world. The back of the watch features a stylish embossing of an underwater landscape with a combination of matte and polished surfaces. For those seeking adventure in the depths, the AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue is the ideal companion.
A piece of Black Forest for the world's oceans
For Fabio Tunno, who offers courses at his diving school FABIOLOUS FREEDIVING, the element of water is a source of inspiration and tranquility. With each dive, he discovers new facets of himself and his environment. The FreeFall, a special technique in freediving, allows him to glide weightlessly from a certain depth, with the natural pressure of the water determining the movement. This technique saves energy and oxygen, enabling him to dive even deeper. The AQUASPHERE optimally supports him by ensuring precise measurement of dive time.
"With this new collection, Hanhart targets everyone who appreciates both the depths of the oceans and the fascinating technology of a high-quality diving watch. The AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue is not just a timepiece, but a piece of the Black Forest in the distance, impressively combining tradition and modernity."
