All about the Hanhart PIONEER TwinDicator, old white, fluted bezel 45mm

The Pioneer TwinDicator represents the exclusive highlight of the Hanhart collection, not least thanks to its technically and aesthetically sophisticated design. Of particular note is the implementation of the characteristic displays with two sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock. Through a complex modification of the automatic movement, these displays have been moved as far as possible to the edge of the generous 45-millimeter diameter case. A special feature here: the sub-dial at 9 o'clock not only serves as a small seconds display but also functions as a practical 12-hour counter.

Visually, the Pioneer TwinDicator is a homage to classic chronographs of the 1930s, clearly demonstrating its design roots in historical Hanhart watches. The classic large crown with a deep chamfer ensures comfortable operation, making it perfectly designed for easy handling. The bezel features a simple, smooth design that appears elegant through the combination of satin-finished and polished surfaces. This contrasting design gives the watch a modern touch, while also recalling the matte look of early pilot's watches, which avoided reflections and glare to prevent distracting pilots.

A central element of this watch is the perfect symmetry of the dial. The two sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock are positioned to form a vertical axis with the numerals 2, 4, 8, and 10. This ensures a balanced, harmonious appearance. Despite the classic arrangement of totalizers, the TwinDicator remains a full-fledged chronograph with all the functions one would expect from a model with three totalizers. This technical innovation and aesthetic design set new standards for the collection.

Hanhart PIONEER TwinDicator, altweiß, glatte Lünette

The Pioneer TwinDicator builds on a long tradition of pilot chronographs that Hanhart established as early as the 1930s. Back then, watches with widely spaced displays were a trademark of the brand. The TwinDicator adopts this historical design, yet reinterprets it to meet modern demands. The distinctive red reset pusher on the side, characteristic of Hanhart since 1939, seamlessly integrates into the design. According to legend, a pilot's wife marked this pusher with red nail polish so that her husband would always remember her and return safely. This pusher helped pilots avoid accidentally resetting the stopped time and thus losing their course.

In terms of robustness and water resistance, the TwinDicator is in no way inferior to its predecessors. The closed, screw-down case back is equipped with three indentations for the case key, ensuring maximum tightness. This construction guarantees water resistance up to 10 bar (10 ATM). The case is complemented by a riveted strap made of durable calfskin, which is not only long-lasting but also comfortable to wear from the start. For additional options, bund straps in dark brown and light brown are available, as well as an elegant stainless steel bracelet. The pin buckle ensures a secure fit on the wrist.

In summary, the Pioneer TwinDicator combines technical finesse and timeless design, establishing itself as an exceptional chronograph in the Pioneer collection. Its blend of tradition and innovation makes it the ideal choice for lovers of high-quality timepieces who appreciate both historical references and modern technology.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
