All about the Hanhart PRIMUS FLY NAVY PVD MFG3

PRIMUS FLY NAVY – Limited Special Edition

The renowned Black Forest watch manufacturer Hanhart is expanding its PRIMUS collection with an exclusive special edition: the PRIMUS FLY NAVY. With a limited run of only 150 pieces, this chronograph combines technical precision, maritime symbolism, and a rich tradition. Developed for the demanding conditions of naval aviation, this watch offers reliable performance and outstanding readability – even during low-level flights over stormy seas, whether in the Arctic or the tropics.

A Tribute to Naval Aviation

The PRIMUS FLY NAVY is a homage to over a century of precision and tradition, both in the German Navy and at Hanhart, whose history dates back to 1882. In the past, pilot watches had to withstand extreme challenges: from massive temperature fluctuations and enormous altitude differences to strong vibrations. Even today, precision plays a crucial role in naval aviation, especially during low-level flights over the sea or landings on pitching ship decks. The PRIMUS FLY NAVY is a loyal companion in such extreme situations and also a stylish addition for more relaxed occasions.

Maritime Details with Symbolic Depth

The special edition emphasizes its maritime roots through numerous details. The second hand bears Poseidon's trident – a symbol also found in the coat of arms of Marinefliegergeschwader 3 "Graf Zeppelin" (Naval Air Wing 3 "Graf Zeppelin"). Furthermore, the buyer can choose between two unique sapphire crystal case back decorations: the coat of arms of MFG3 or Marinefliegergeschwader 5 (Naval Air Wing 5). Both emblems symbolize solidarity and the values of naval aviators.

  • MFG3 Coat of Arms: It shows an anchor and wing as a sign of affiliation with the Navy, flanked by five stars representing the virtues of loyalty, courage, readiness, reliability, and endurance.
  • MFG5 Coat of Arms: Elements such as water, sea eagle, anchor, and wing represent the responsibility to protect the airspace over the sea. The sea eagle's head symbolizes sovereignty over this area.

Design and Materials

The PRIMUS FLY NAVY chronographs are available in two variants:

  1. Stainless steel case: Combined with a navy-blue textile strap and a deep blue dial.
  2. PVD-coated case: Complemented by a black textile strap for a subtle, modern appearance.

The navy-blue dial features the stylized Naval Aviation logo, which is also found on the screw-down crown. The numerals and hands are equipped with the modern Super-LumiNova® SLN C3 GL coating, ensuring perfect readability in all lighting conditions.

Flexibility and Wearing Comfort

A special feature of PRIMUS watches are the flexible lugs, which ensure maximum wearing comfort – even with an impressive diameter of 44 mm. The chronograph combines robust design with pleasant ergonomics, making it suitable for both everyday wear and extreme challenges.

A Symbol of Precision and Tradition

The limited PRIMUS FLY NAVY embodies the values of Hanhart and German naval aviation. With its unique combination of technical excellence and emotional symbolism, this watch is not only a reliable timepiece but also a piece of maritime history on the wrist.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.

Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com
