Alles über die Le Forban Sécurité Mer Omaha Black Chronograph
On the occasion of80. On the anniversary of the Allied landings on D-Day, we are proud to present our new model from Le Forban Sécurité Mer: the chronograph “Omaha”. This watch pays tribute to the courage of the American soldiers who landed on the beaches of Normandy, especially Omaha Beach, in 1944. In our imagination, we tried to imagine what a waterproof watch might have looked like at that time. We were inspired by the chronographs of the 1940s, which feature gold-plated subdials, large numbers and characteristic “pear” crowns.
The “Omaha” chronograph has a case diameter of 39 mm (40 mm measured across the bezel) and a total length of 46 mm from lug to lug. The case thickness is 13.9 mm, but without the glass it measures 11.82 mm. The watch is powered by the automatic chronograph movement Seiko NE86. The case is made of polished and brushed grade 316L stainless steel, while the dial is finished in a military sunray green or sunray black, with gold-plated subdials and indices finished with Old Radium-style SuperLuminova are provided.
The watch has a unidirectional, serrated bezel made of steel with an aluminum inlay and a domed sapphire crystal. The vintage “pear” crown is equipped with a double O-ring and guarantees water resistance up to 50 meters. The design is rounded off by a leather bracelet in a vintage look, which is equipped with an individually designed clasp from Le Forban. The lugs are 20 mm wide, making the “Omaha” chronograph a stylish and robust homage to the watches of the past.

Mein persönliches Fazit zur Le Forban Sécurité Mer Omaha Black Chronograph
"Chronographs have a long tradition at Le Forban Sécurité Mer. The Omaha, which is the pride of the revived brand from France, now joins the line of historic chronos since 1969. Available in two different colors, the Omaha commemorates D-Day, when Allies arrived on the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago. The watch definitely does visual justice to the historic event. The model with an olive-colored dial in particular looks excellent. We are also used to the excellent quality of Le Forban, which can be admired in the stainless steel case and the chic leather strap in a retro look. The Seiko is installed in its BEST version, and they didn't skimp on the lume either; Swiss Super Luminova... a real glowing cookie, watch the video. The limitation of the Green Omaha is just awesome. With this huge toolbox and "dog tag" it's a really great set. But the Black Omaha is also worth every cent. Simply great watches! "

Le Forban Sécurité Mer
It is thanks to the southern French watch lover Jean Sebastien Coste that the traditional watch brand Le Forban Sécurité Mer was brought back to life in 2019. Since then, chronographs have been built again based on the old model and can certainly compete with the great Swiss models.
