All about the Le Forban Sécurité Mer Rochelaise Steel Bracelet (sand gray / brown)
About the brand new Le Forban Rochelaise Sand-Grey steel bracelet (sand grey / brown) from France!
New & original packaging. Only available from me in Germany.
Inspired by the original watch designs of the 60s and 70s, the Rochelaise is a refined harmony of curves. With its rotating inner bezel with stamped indices and its chrome-plated printed indices on the dial at the cardinal points, it impresses with its originality and subtlety. A dive watch that you can enjoy in all circumstances!

By the way: Le Forban Sécurité Mer manufactures its wristwatches in the workshops of the French watchmaker Christian Plantin. Here they are assembled, tested and adjusted. The price-performance ratio is also truly outstanding. For a mid-three-figure sum, you can hardly find comparable quality elsewhere. The perfect entry, right?
The Rochelaise is a subtle blend of elements from our favorite watches of the 60s and 70s - which we wanted to pay tribute to.
• Case diameter: 39 mm
• Length: 46 mm lug to lug
• Case thickness: 11.40 mm
• Case made of 316L steel
• Bidirectional internal bezel made of pressed steel
• Domed sapphire crystal
• Screwed crown
• Miyota 9039 automatic movement
• Silicone Tropic strap or steel bracelet with personalized clasp. Strapwidth: 20 mm.
Sand grey: A warm grey with gilded accents.
Sea green: A blue-green with deep accents that reflects the color of the water of La Rochelle.
Its turtle-style case is based on the rounded shapes of watches from the 70s, and the rotating inner bezel is a nod to the design of the "supercompressors" of the 60s. The Rochelaise remains true to the retro spirit and perfectly matches our new, finely etched steel bracelet. An original watch that completes the Le Forban collection and offers a completely new alternative to our early models.
REFINED AND COMFORTABLE - The Le Forban Rochelaise Sand-Grey on steel bracelet
With the aim of achieving an ideal combination of appearance and comfort, we paid particular attention to the curves and finesse of the Rochelaise case.
Due to its balanced proportions and low profile, the Rochelaise is a unisex watch that will look good on any wrist size, just like all watches in the Le Forban range.
VERY LEGIBLE, EVEN AT NIGHT
Whether in daylight or at night, your watch remains legible thanks to the use of Swiss Super-Luminova® C3, the brightest lume on the market. The luminous material was developed to remain legible in the deepest abyss and will also prove useful for night owls navigating through the shadows...

A LOT OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL
We have chosen a very specific manufacturing technique for the internal bezel. The indices are pressed into the metal, the resulting depth thus offers a unique aesthetic - a technique borrowed from the 60s. The surfaces of the indices are polished to complete the aesthetic effect and maximize legibility. And as a final touch, the Rochelaise is equipped with a red seconds hand, a reminder of its dive watch DNA.
ULTRA-RELIABLE MIYOTA AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT
The Miyota 9039 has been in production since 2018 and is a high-quality Japanese automatic movement. Due to the thinness of this movement, the Rochelaise case has a particularly low profile - less than 12 mm.
Power reserve: 42 hours
Seconds hand stops when crown is pulled out.
ASYMMETRICAL CROWNS AND EMBOSSED CASEBACK
With its screw-down crown, the Rochelaise is designed to be water-resistant to 150 meters. Its second crown, which rotates the inner bezel, was intentionally placed in an asymmetrical position, which gives it an original but vintage-inspired charm. To highlight the caseback, we use the same embossing technique on all our watches. For the Rochelaise, we have chosen the motif of a nautical rope as a tribute to the nearby Royal Ropemaking Factory of Rochefort.

My conclusion:

"The new Le Forban Sécurité Mer Rochelaise immediately thrilled me. After the detailed test, this was more than confirmed. The Rochelaise is significantly more elaborately designed than the Malouine or Brestoise. Exemplary for the brand's increased aspirations is the compressor technology, which has now found its way in and sets the Rochelaise apart from the confusing market of dive watches."

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
