THE HOUSING
Tartaruga is the Italian word for turtle and these can be found in numerous variations on the coast of the Riviera in Italy, where the inventors of Ligure gathered their inspiration for watches. The case is modeled on the shape of a turtle, no edges, a square, rounded shape with a domed sapphire crystal which curves smoothly and seamlessly over the case like the shell of a turtle. A real eye-catcher in terms of design. The anti-reflective coating and the full anti-reflective coating guarantee optimal readability even in unfavorable lighting conditions.
DIAL AND HANDS
The LWT23002N model has a clearly structured black dial with an accentuated white color. It impresses with its striking appearance, high complexity and depth of design. The texture and coloring appear well thought out. The indices are slightly offset and extra polished and, together with the numbers, fit very harmoniously into the overall appearance of the dial. The Super-LumiNova® illumination coating ensures that the time can be easily read even in the dark.
THE MOVEMENT of the Ligure Tartaruga LWT23002N
Inside the Ligure Tartaruga LWT23002N is a reliable, robust, precise Swiss automatic movement that works SW200-1, from the Swiss company Sellita. This movement is based in its basic concept on the in-house caliberETA 2824 and brings with it the essential relevant functions that one can expect from a diving watch. span>
BRACELET AND CLASP
THE CASE BASE
The back of the clock is made of stainless steel. Next to the highlighted outline of Italy, the coordinates ofPorto Venere are engraved, a reminiscence of a popular diving area in the Riveria Ligure where there are many shipwrecks.

My conclusion:

"Ligure is an exciting watch brand that I have been following for a long time. Anyone who describes themselves as an Italy connoisseur or lover will most likely relate to the watches whose design origins can be clearly linked to the country on the Mediterranean. The Tartaruga series creates a good connection between a rather sporty diving watch and an elegant, almost classic appearance. A watch that can be worn on many occasions, at a price where you don't have to think twice."

My personal conclusion on Ligure Tartaruga LWT23002N

"Diving watches are a dime a dozen. It is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd. This Ligure diving watch does a lot of things right. And it's absolutely not mainstream. You can literally feel the Italian way of life on your wrist. It's great how the bracelet virtually disappears "under" the case. One of the many great design features. The watch is also great for smaller wrists, as we only have 42.5mm lug to lug, with a diameter of 41mm. The highlight, however, is that it is also suitable for larger wrists thanks to the way the strap is attached to the case. Feel free to watch the video, even if it takes a little longer, it's worth it."

diving watches for gentlemen
The three founders of Ligure, Loek, Janniek and Pieter, dare to experiment with capturing the magic of the small Italian fishing village of Portofino in a watch brand. Ligure stands for the Italian way of life, for the splendor of the colors of the Italian Riveira and ultimately for a unique attitude to life. Ligure timepieces are the gentleman among diving watches.
