The latest version of Marathon's classic GSAR Quartz is a true professional tool – designed for search and rescue missions in the harshest conditions. Inside, a high-torque quartz movement, manufactured in Switzerland, ensures maximum reliability. The proven ETA F06.115 HeavyDrive caliber powers the watch, which not only features an End-of-Life (EOL) indicator but also impresses with its robustness. It has three jewel bearings and is capable of easily compensating for mechanical stresses such as shocks or impacts – a must for professional applications.
Military-Grade Case Construction
The watch case is made of high-quality, brushed 316L stainless steel – a material valued not only for its corrosion resistance but also for being comfortable on the skin. With a diameter of 36 mm, a height of 14 mm, and a lug-to-lug length of 43.5 mm, the case offers a compact yet extremely resilient design. The timepiece is water-resistant up to 300 meters (30 ATM), making it perfectly suited for underwater operations. The screw-down crown further increases pressure resistance and ensures maximum watertightness underwater.
Maximum Functionality in Any Light
The unidirectional rotating 60-minute bezel can be precisely adjusted with 120 clicks and is equipped with a MaraGlo-illuminated marker. This luminous marker guarantees optimal readability even in complete darkness – ideal for nighttime or underwater operations. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal reliably protects the dial from mechanical influences and maintains readability in the long term.
Clear Readability at a Glance
The matte dial is deliberately simple yet offers maximum clarity. In addition to the classic 12-hour scale, a second 24-hour display is integrated, making the watch suitable for military timekeeping. The indices, as well as the hour, minute, and second hands, are equipped with self-illuminating tritium tubes – a durable, self-luminous material that remains continuously visible without an external light source. Additionally, the date display is located at 4:30, subtly integrated without disrupting the layout.
Two Strap Options for Individual Mission Requirements
Depending on personal preference or intended use, there are two high-quality strap variants to choose from: a durable, black rubber strap with a stainless steel pin buckle or a solid stainless steel bracelet with a secure folding clasp. Both straps were specially developed for extreme loads and offer optimal wearing comfort as well as high functionality.

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
Mechanics - Sometimes things can go wrong
Before I ship your order, I carefully inspect each watch for visible defects.
However, should a problem arise, such as a defect during transit, please inform me immediately. I will do everything in my power to find a quick solution and ensure your satisfaction.
