The Marathon Anthracite GSAR was first issued in 2018 and is specially designed for use in tactical night missions where discreet action is of utmost priority. Its design combines functionality with a subtle, dark appearance, making it perfect for operations under challenging visibility conditions. This watch is a reliable companion when precision and camouflage are equally required.
High-quality craftsmanship and robust materials
The case is made of 316L stainless steel, coated with a special anthracite-colored ion plating (IP). This anti-reflective coating not only protects the watch from scratches but also ensures minimal reflection in light, emphasizing its stealth capabilities. Notably, each individual component of the watch is coated separately to ensure complete and even coverage – a quality feature that stands for durability and robustness.
Precise and reliable movement inside
The Anthracite GSAR is powered by a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement equipped with an Incabloc shock absorber system. This caliber ensures high accuracy and protects the movement from shocks and impacts even under extreme conditions. With a total of 26 jewels, the movement is not only robust but also finely tuned to ensure maximum longevity and stable performance.
Optimal readability in every situation
To reliably read the time even in darkness or poor visibility, the watch features a combination of tritium gas tubes and MaraGlo luminous technology. These ensure continuous, constant illumination of the hour markers and hands without the need for an external light source. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that effectively protects the dial from damage and ensures clear visibility.
Functional and robust design
The Anthracite GSAR has a screw-down crown that securely seals the case against water ingress. With a diving depth of up to 30 ATM, the watch is perfectly suited for underwater use and withstands high pressures. The unidirectional rotating bezel is equipped with a 60-minute scale, enabling precise timing during dives or other time-critical tasks. The combination of functional design and anthracite finish makes this watch both practical and visually understated.

The dial is equipped with two scales that display both the hours from 1 to 12 and from 13 to 24, allowing flexible use in 12- or 24-hour format. In addition, the Anthracite GSAR features a date display shown in a clearly readable window. About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it can sometimes take a bit longer. As a rule, I respond within a few minutes or hours.
