All about the MARATHON 41mm diver's watch with automatic winding (GSAR) WW194006SS-0130

Icon of rescue operations

The Government Search and Rescue, abbreviated GSAR, is considered the best-known model within Marathon's SAR series and is highly regarded worldwide among both military units and watch collectors. Its robust construction, combined with uncompromising functionality, makes it the first choice for demanding missions under extreme conditions.

Developed for emergencies

The GSAR is constructed to function reliably even under the harshest conditions. Its stainless steel case is made of durable 316L steel with a brushed finish and measures 41 mm in the standard version. For optimal control underwater, it is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale – ideal for precise dive times or time-critical rescue operations.

High-level mechanics

Inside works the proven Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, equipped with an Incabloc™ shock protection system. This high-quality movement has 26 jewels, which leads to very stable and durable performance. The whole is supported by a reliable date display, discreetly integrated on the dial.

Excellent readability

The GSAR is designed to remain easily readable even in poor lighting conditions. This is ensured by luminous tritium gas tubes on all hour markers as well as on the hour and minute hands. Additionally, the bezel is equipped with a MaraGlo™ luminous dot that allows quick orientation in the dark – independent of external light sources.

Robustness under all conditions

An anti-reflective sapphire crystal reliably protects the dial from scratches and impacts, while the screwed-down crown ensures the watch's water resistance up to a depth of 30 ATM (300 meters). This makes it suitable not only for diving but also meets the requirements of military special forces at sea.

Functional wearing system

Included in the delivery is a three-piece rubber band set, produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Made from durable FKM rubber, it is designed to withstand the high stresses of military operations. Two buckle parts in different lengths allow flexible adjustment to the wrist – whether the watch is worn on the skin or over a neoprene suit.

FAQs

About me

My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.

Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.

As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

So come along on a journey full of watches... off the mainstream... and if you have a question, please feel free to ask me anytime via the form, chat, WhatsApp, email or phone.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

PS: My hobbies & passions include the internet (first agency already in 1996), Denmark, France's coasts (Brittany, Normandy & Côte d’Azur), hiking, e-MTB, sales (Bachelor of Sales) and photography.

My Achilles' heel includes children's chocolate, good food, sneakers & of course watches... :-)

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.

The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Cancellation & Return Shipping

You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

No response received?

You wrote to me via the contact form, through the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you haven't received a reply?

Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and pushing more and more into spam.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it can sometimes take a bit longer. As a rule, I respond within a few minutes or hours.

Something can slip past me sometimes too. Or the technology doesn't work as it should. Feel free to write to me again at david@watchdavid.com

Mechanics - Sometimes things can happen there too

Before I ship your order, I carefully check each watch for visible defects.

If a problem should occur, such as damage during transport, please inform me immediately. I will do everything possible to quickly find a solution and ensure that you are satisfied.

My goal is to offer you not only high-quality products but also a first-class shopping experience. I look forward to welcoming you as a satisfied customer!
