Emerging from close collaboration with the Canadian government, the GSAR has met the highest military standards since its introduction in the early 1990s. Inside the GSAR, the proven Sellita SW200-1, a mechanical automatic movement with 26 jewels and an Incabloc shock protection system, is at work. Supported by a calendar type with date display, the watch remains extremely practical in everyday use.
Clear Legibility in Any Light
The dial is not only intuitively legible but also impresses with its dual 1–12 and 13–24 scaling, ideal for military time indications. Another highlight are the Tritium gas tubes on the hands and indices, which glow continuously – independently of external light sources. In addition, MaraGlo, a specially developed luminous compound by Marathon, ensures strong night vision functionality at prominent points such as the bezel marker.

The GSAR's case is made of brushed 316L stainless steel – a material characterized by exceptional corrosion resistance. With a diameter of either 46 mm, 41 mm, or 36 mm, the watch offers variants for different wrists and purposes. The screw-down crown, together with the thick sapphire crystal, ensures water resistance up to 30 ATM, which corresponds to a depth of 300 meters – absolutely dive certified.

Also striking is the unidirectional rotating, fully knurled bezel with a 60-minute scale. It can be operated precisely even with gloves, thus meeting the high requirements of ISO standards for professional dive watches. Each click is tactile and audible – an important safety feature during dives.

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
