Reinterpretation of the Steel Navigator
The Steel Navigator with Date (SSNAV-D) represents a completely newly developed advancement of the original Marathon Steel Navigator, which was first conceived in 1986 in collaboration with the Kelly Air Force Base. This watch was specially designed for pilots, parachutists, and adventurers and impresses with a combination of robust construction and high precision. With a diameter of 41 mm, the SSNAV-D presents itself as a reliable companion that, thanks to its ETA F06.412 HeavyDrive-PreciDrive quartz movement, offers a remarkable accuracy of ± 10 seconds per year – a milestone in the history of the Steel Navigator series. Particularly noteworthy is the date display, a first for this model since the original design in the 1980s.
Robust case and ergonomic design
The case of the SSNAV-D is made from high-quality 316L surgical stainless steel, which not only provides an attractive appearance but also the necessary robustness. The watch is equipped with a screw-down crown that, together with the synthetic sapphire crystal, ensures water resistance up to 10 ATM (equivalent to 100 meters depth). This makes the Steel Navigator well suited for diving missions or wet conditions. The case design has been modernized and features a tapered bezel that is ergonomically shaped and guarantees a comfortable fit on the wrist – an important advantage for daily use.
Practical functions of the bezel
A particularly practical feature of the bezel is the 12-hour GMT function, whose raised height provides a better grip. This allows it to be easily rotated bidirectionally, even when pilots wear thick flight gloves. The painted indices on the bezel also significantly improve the readability of the markings, making operation easier under all conditions.
Optimal visibility in darkness
For optimal visibility in dark or poorly lit environments, self-illuminating tritium gas tubes are placed on all hour markers as well as on the hour and minute hands. Unlike conventional photoluminescent paint, tritium tubes do not fade over time because they contain a hydrogen isotope that constantly emits light. This ensures the watch remains perfectly readable at any time of day or night.
Crystal clear and pressure resistant
The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that not only provides clear visibility but also withstands extreme air pressure changes – an essential feature for pilots operating at altitudes above 5000 feet. The combination of Swiss manufacturing and Canadian design guarantees the highest quality and careful craftsmanship that meets the demands of professional users.

About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
