Reissue of a Proven Field Watch
The SSNAV-D, also known as Steel Navigator with Date, is a completely revised version of Marathon's original tool watch, developed in cooperation with Kelly Air Force Base in 1986. This new model was specifically tailored to the requirements of pilots, parachutists, and other operational forces who must rely on maximum functionality and reliability in critical situations.
Inside the watch works the modern ETA F06.412 HeavyDrive-PreciDrive quartz movement, which offers an exceptional accuracy of only ±10 seconds per year. This gives the SSNAV-D a precision unmatched in its class. Another highlight: For the first time since the original version of the Steel Navigator series, this model features a date display – a practical update that meets everyday operational needs.
Robust Case for Daily Use
Made from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, the case not only offers extreme durability but also a subtle, functional aesthetic. The 41 mm diameter combined with a screw-down crown and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal makes the watch resistant to external influences. It is water-resistant up to 10 ATM, making it suitable for missions in rain, wet terrain, or diving up to 100 meters deep.
Special attention was paid to the redesign of the bezel. It is now tapered, providing an even more comfortable fit on the wrist – ideal for extended wear under various conditions. The bidirectional 12-hour GMT bezel has a raised shape specially optimized for operation with flight gloves. Additionally, the indices are painted and recessed, which significantly improves legibility.
Luminous Brightness Around the Clock
One of the most important features for military and tactical operations is visibility in darkness – and here the SSNAV-D excels completely. The watch is equipped with tritium gas tubes on all hour markers as well as on the hour and minute hands. These tubes are self-illuminating and require no external light source to charge. They contain a hydrogen isotope that glows constantly – and for years without losing brightness. This ensures the watch remains reliably readable under any lighting condition.
Clear View and Pressure-Resistant Construction
The highly transparent sapphire crystal not only protects the dial from scratches and impacts but is also specially designed to withstand extreme pressure differences. This is especially important for missions at high altitudes – for example, flights above 5000 feet – which are standard for military personnel. The combination of robust construction and state-of-the-art technology ensures that the watch delivers a clear and precise time display even under the harshest conditions.

About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
