All about the MARATHON 46mm JDD Jumbo Day/Date Automatic – WW194021SS
An Icon Among Dive Watches
The Government Search and Rescue – GSAR for short – is the most traditional model in Marathon's SAR series. It was specifically developed for rescue and military operations and is known for both its technical precision and its exceptional durability. In the most demanding environments, this watch proves to be a reliable instrument – and is considered the heart of the entire SAR collection for good reason.
Swiss Automatic Meets Military Standards
The GSAR is powered by a mechanical automatic movement from Sellita, specifically the SW220 model. This Swiss movement impresses with a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and offers a power reserve of up to 41 hours. Equipped with 26 synthetic jewels and protected by an Incabloc shock protection system, the movement remains reliable and precise even under vibrations – a must for any true dive watch.
Robust Case for Extreme Conditions
The case is made of brushed 316L stainless steel and was designed for maximum durability. With a diameter of 46 mm, a height of 18 mm, and a lug-to-lug length of 55 mm, the watch sits powerfully on the wrist without sacrificing wearing comfort. Thanks to its water resistance up to 30 ATM (300 meters), the GSAR is also suitable for professional diving. The screw-down crown and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal underscore the commitment to uncompromising functionality.

Visibility Day and Night
The bezel is unidirectional and divided into 120 precise clicks. Its 60-minute scale ring is equipped with MaraGlo luminous material, guaranteeing easy readability even in the dark. On the deep black dial, self-luminous tritium tubes on the hour markers and hands ensure continuous visibility – without external light sources or prior charging. The practical day-date display at the 3 o'clock position completes the functional layout.
Versatility in Straps
The GSAR is available with various strap options that can be adapted to individual needs. The classic black rubber strap with a stainless steel buckle offers optimal wearing comfort in humid or hot environments, while the optional stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp is particularly suitable for everyday wear or formal occasions. Both variants perfectly integrate into the overall design of this thoughtfully constructed dive watch.

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
No answer received?
You contacted me, via the contact form, about the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you didn't receive a reply?
Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and crazier and are sending more and more to spam.
I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.
Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com
Mechanics - Sometimes things can go wrong
Before I ship your order, I carefully inspect each watch for visible defects.
However, should a problem arise, such as a defect during transit, please inform me immediately. I will do everything in my power to find a quick solution and ensure your satisfaction.
My goal is to offer you not only high-quality products but also a first-class shopping experience. I look forward to welcoming you as a satisfied customer!
