Modernized operational watch with military origins
The newly interpreted Steel Navigator by Marathon is not just a classic tool watch but a fully functional operational instrument. Its origin dates back to 1986, when the original model was developed in cooperation with the Kelly Air Force Base specifically for pilots of the US Air Force. The new edition stays true to this mission but has been revised for civilian and professional everyday use and technically updated to the latest standards.
Precise quartz movement for maximum reliability
Inside works the Swiss quartz caliber ETA F06.412, equipped with the technologies HeavyDrive and PreciDrive. The movement impresses with exceptional shock resistance and particularly high accuracy. Three jewel bearings ensure long-lasting and low-friction operation – exactly what you expect from a watch with military standards.
Extremely robust case with corrosion protection
The case is made of 316L stainless steel, which has been refined through a process called phosphating – a phosphate conversion coating. This surface treatment reliably protects the watch against corrosion and at the same time gives it a matte, non-reflective appearance. With 10 ATM water resistance, a screw-down crown, and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the watch is built for tough conditions.
Perfect readability – day and night
The matte black dial features, besides the 12-hour scale, a 24-hour display. Particularly striking are the indexes and hands equipped with tritium gas light sources – a technology that glows permanently without external light. This permanent self-illumination makes the watch ideal for use in complete darkness. All three hands – hour, minute, and second – are also equipped with tritium tubes.
Thoughtful functions for use
In addition to reliable time display, the watch features a bidirectionally rotatable bezel, allowing flexible time measurement – for example, for navigation or coordination purposes. The watch's dimensions were chosen to remain comfortable despite its robust appearance: 41 mm diameter, 11 mm height, and 48 mm lug-to-lug create a sporty-compact presence on the wrist. With a 20 mm band lug width, various straps can be easily combined.
Flexibility through various strap options
For individual customization, there is a wide selection of high-quality straps. Marathon offers, among others, a ballistic nylon strap, a particularly robust DEFSTAN nylon strap, as well as a three-piece rubber strap kit. The whole is rounded off by a stainless steel pin buckle with black IP coating, perfectly complementing the functional character of the model.

About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
