All about the Ollech & Wajs M52 AU (All Units)

We are pleased to introduce the new OW M-52 'All Units' (AU) – a wristwatch inspired by the classic Ollech & Wajs military watches used by US soldiers, pilots, sailors, and divers since the early 1960s. These watches are known for their high water resistance, exceptional robustness, and multifunctionality, which made them extremely popular not only in military contexts but also among civilian professionals working in challenging environments.

Today, Ollech & Wajs watches combine the demands of both military and civilian customers. This is particularly evident in the current M-series, known for its versatility and high functionality. The new OW M-52 AU is a simplified and clearly designed version of the M-52B 'Air Force' (AF), introduced earlier this year to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the B-52 Stratofortress. The M-52 AU combines the minimalist design of a classic field watch with the practical functionality of a pilot's watch and the water resistance of a diver's watch. This versatility makes the M-52 AU an ideal companion in any tactical situation, be it on land, at sea, or in the air – hence the name "All Units" (AU).

The dial design draws on the brand's military heritage, using a combination of dots and dashes for the indices, inspired by the universal military symbolism of Morse code. This design, along with the brushed finish of the 39.5 mm stainless steel case, which prevents reflections, gives the watch a clear and functional aesthetic. Inside the case, a Swiss automatic movement, the Soprod P024, operates, known for its robustness and reliability.

Another highlight of the M-52 AU is the 12-hour world time bezel, which rotates in both directions, and the striking red date window. These design elements are a tribute to the historical OW watches worn by US military personnel during the Vietnam War. The name "All Units" comes from a model specifically developed for airborne troops.

The watch comes with a military-inspired grey NATO strap made of highly durable nylon. This strap was handcrafted in Switzerland and features a brushed stainless steel buckle, engraved with the lettering 'OWZ 1956'. The price for the M-52 AU is 1,356 CHF, and it is possible to combine the watch with a brown Italian leather strap or an M-Heritage stainless steel mesh bracelet, both available as additional options. The leather strap costs 96 CHF, while the stainless steel bracelet is offered for 126 CHF.

Unlike previous models, the M-52 AU will not be released as a limited or numbered edition. This is because the watch is a variant of the existing M-52B AF and not a completely new model. To make the watch as accessible as possible, the M-52 AU will be moved directly into regular production. Shipping of the watch will begin at the end of October.

The technical specifications of the M-52 AU include a 39.5 mm brushed stainless steel case, which impresses with its robust construction and sapphire-coated glass, featuring an anti-reflective surface to maximize legibility. The watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters, making it ideal for use in extreme underwater environments. The movement, the Soprod P024, offers a power reserve of 38 hours and is regulated in three positions to ensure maximum precision. The hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring optimal readability even in low light conditions.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
