OLLECH & WAJS OW Astrochron is a chronograph of exceptional quality and is worthy to continue the legacy of the Astrochron today, and we have strived to ensure that this new interpretation meets the challenge. With a water resistance of 50 ATM (500 m), the new model far surpasses the deep diving capability of the original and exceeds the Swiss chronograph standard.
OLLECH & WAJS OW Astrochron in detail
Further updates include a 360-degree rotating compass bezel and a 20-minute dive scale. These additional features, combined with a five-minute regatta counter, extra thick sapphire crystal and a unique four-seal pusher system, make the new OW Astrochron equally competent above and below water.
Inside the brushed 316L stainless steel case is a successor to the historic Valjoux 72 movement that powered the first Astrochrons. In our workshop in the Swiss Jura, a individually engraved automatic Valjoux 7753 - with a rotor made by OW - is regulated, adjusted, and tested for power reserve in five positions, earning it the OW precision rating.
As a final tribute to its predecessor, the new chronograph revives the distinctive North Atlantic blue dial from 1968.
The OW Astrochron S is presented on the OW S-Type Mark II bracelet, inspired by those found on many Ollech & Wajs models of the 1960s. The links are individually crafted from a solid block of 316L stainless steel, before being carefully brushed, assembled, and screwed by hand. This process prevents the usual stretching common with pressed steel bracelets and ensures both durability and comfort for the wearer. The double safety folding clasp of the bracelet prevents accidental opening.
The OW Astrochron also comes with a handmade Perlon regatta strap, ideal for summer activities. Exclusively woven for OW - from high-quality, lightweight, and highly water-, salt-, and oil-resistant braided nylon - the regatta strap offers a pleasant blend of comfort and durability. The distinctive two-tone pattern reflects the dial colors of the Astrochron, and those familiar with the international maritime signal flag system may also recognize the nautical code for J - Juliet. The strap is finished with a brushed stainless steel pin buckle, signed "OWZ 1956". Combined with the extreme deep diving capability of 500 m of the Astrochron, this seafaring complement is ready for any challenge – in, on, or around the ocean.

About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
