OLLECH & WAJS OW C-1000 MkII Diver's Watch 1,000m

Modified to OW specifications and adjusted in five positions, the movement has been refined to align with our robust aesthetic. The nickel-plated back is engraved with the inscription "OW Zurich 1956," above which sits a custom-designed rotor in the shape of the OW brand. This inimitable new movement bears OW's own "Precision" designation, reserved only for movements of the highest quality.

The Movement

The movement is housed in a 39.56 mm, 1,000 m water-resistant 316L stainless steel case, stamped, machined, and brushed in the Swiss Jura. The OW C-1000 S also features a reinforced screw-down caseback, an extra-thick domed sapphire crystal, and a screw-down special crown with quadruple gasket. The watch features a rotating stainless steel bezel with a mineral insert for measuring dive times, as well as Super-LumiNova®-coated indices and hands for improved readability when diving at extreme depths.

The OLLECH & WAJS OW C-1000 MkII comes with three different straps:

The OW S Mark II stainless steel bracelet for the OW C-1000 is inspired by the bracelets of earlier Ollech & Wajs precision line models from the 1960s, including the legendary Caribbean 1000. Its links are individually milled from a solid block of 316L stainless steel before being carefully hand-brushed, assembled, and screwed. This process prevents the stretching common in pressed steel bracelets, ensuring both durability and comfort. The bracelet's double-folding clasp prevents accidental opening and is easy for divers to operate.

In honor of the ocean and arctic explorers who wore the Caribbean 1000, the ever-popular Expedition rubber strap is available. Made from high-quality, pollutant-free rubber, it is soft to the touch and perfectly conforms to the wrist. Thanks to its insulating properties, it remains flexible even at low temperatures, ensuring comfort during cold water diving. It is also abrasion-resistant, deformable, heat-resistant, and oil-resistant. The smooth, matte black exterior features an embossed centimeter and inch scale, as well as a 1:25000 cartographic scale.

On the back, you'll find the Morse code alphabet and a conversion table for meters, yards, and feet. Manufactured by an Italian rubber specialist with 40 years of experience in strap development and handcrafted in Switzerland, with two brushed stainless steel clasps and a pin buckle signed "OWZ 1956". This strap not only keeps your watch in place—it helps you calculate, translate, and navigate.

To celebrate the launch of the C-1000 MkII, a new monochrome RAF-style nylon strap with the inscription "Freediver" is also available. The thin white line woven through the strap symbolizes the static line used by freedivers to orient themselves in the dark and ascend. The strap features an engraved OWZ pin buckle and two stainless steel keepers. The "Freediver" strap is available with both the rubber Expedition strap and the S-type bracelet.

My personal view on the OLLECH & WAJS OW C-1000 MkII Diver's Watch 1,000m

David Drilling Fazit

FAQs

About David from WATCHDAVID

Behind WATCHDAVID.SHOP, I, David Drilling, stand as a true watch enthusiast, watch photographer, and independent tester. Since 2018, I have been providing honest wear reports on my channels. In my shop, I exclusively sell watches whose quality and history I have personally verified. No anonymous mass-produced goods, but personal expertise.

Shipping & No Import Charges

Shipping within Germany and the EU is completely free for you and fully insured via DHL or FedEx Express. Important for you: There are guaranteed to be no import duties, taxes or hidden fees. The exact delivery time for your model will always be transparently displayed directly above the "Buy" button.

Cancellations & Free Returns

You can easily cancel your purchase within 14 days. Unlike other retailers, I will cover the full cost of your return shipping within the EU. Simply send me a short email to david@watchdavid.com and I will send you your free DHL return label. It doesn't get any more risk-free than that.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you 100% that all watches offered are unworn, brand new original goods. In the shop, I strictly differentiate between regular new goods directly from the manufacturer and exclusive photo watches. Photo watches are models that I have used for my videos or photos, or that come from a return. I sell them absolutely honestly as used and significantly reduced – but the full manufacturer's warranty only begins on the day of your purchase!

Warranty & David's "All-Round Carefree Service"

Every watch comes with the full, international manufacturer's warranty (at least 2 years). In the event of a warranty claim, you'll have absolutely no stress: I'll handle all communication with the brand and organize insured round-trip shipping for you. Even after the warranty period expires, I remain your personal point of contact for service inquiries.

Quality Control

Mechanical watches are fascinating masterpieces. Before dispatch, each watch undergoes a thorough optical and mechanical final inspection. Should a problem ever arise despite our secure transport protection, please inform me immediately by email. I will promptly arrange for a quick, uncomplicated replacement.
