All about the OLLECH & WAJS OW MK-102
Return of a Field Classic
The OW MK-102 returns from the archives, bringing lost military history to the wrist: inspired by the 1969 K-101, once made for the US Army's 2nd Infantry Division, the watch bears the distinctive Indian-Head emblem as a visible sign of courage and perseverance. Those who wind the model immediately feel a connection to an era when reliability and robustness decided life and duty—a revival that shows respect for the original while meeting modern expectations.
Design with a Historical Heart
The brushed 316L stainless steel case measures 39.5 mm in diameter and was proportionally designed to retain the robust appearance of the field watch prototype while offering contemporary wearability. The reduced height of approximately 12.5 mm and the 48 mm lug-to-lug distance ensure a confident fit on the wrist; the screw-down crown, screw-down case back, and rotating steel bezel emphasize the functional, military character of the watch.
Technology that Connects
Inside, the Soprod P024 caliber, specially tuned for OW, is at work: an automatic movement with 4 Hz, stop-seconds, quick-set date, and approximately 38 hours of power reserve, featuring an OW rotor engraving and specially crafted screws. These manufactured details show that the new edition not only outwardly resembles the original but has been mechanically refined to meet today's demands for precision and serviceability.
Suitability for Use and Legibility
Designed for use, the MK-102 offers water resistance of 300 m / 30 ATM and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, ensuring clear legibility in all lighting conditions. Hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova, so the watch reliably performs its duty even in the dark and underwater—qualities that are far more than technical data in practice: they are the promise of reliability.
Equipment and Wearing Options
The MK-102 comes standard on a military-robust gray RAF strap (20 mm) with a brushed pin buckle; for those who prefer a different wearing feel, the fine M-Heritage Milanese bracelet can be optionally selected. These strap variants allow the watch to quickly transition from a military-functional look to a more elegant appearance without blurring the model's basic idea—the versatility is maintained.
Limitation, Origin, and Presentation
The first 56 pieces bear numbered crowns, after which the famous OW propeller monogram will appear on the winders; each watch is handcrafted and regulated in the Swiss Jura region, emphasizing the close connection between historical heritage and regional watchmaking. Equipped with a three-year warranty, the MK-102 is not just a collector's item, but a wearable piece of history that combines everyday suitability and authenticity.
Conclusion: A Strong Performance with Substance
The OW MK-102 is more than a re-edition: it is a critical re-evaluation of a field classic that merges historical identity with modern manufacturing standards. Those looking for a watch that breathes history, functions strictly in use, and is also mechanically sophisticated will find a convincing offer in this limited rebirth—robust, precise, and with true character.

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
No answer received?
You contacted me, via the contact form, about the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you didn't receive a reply?
Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and crazier and are sending more and more to spam.
I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.
Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com
