All about the OLLECH & WAJS OW P-104 SELECTRON

The return of the Selectron – The new OW P-104 Selectron

With great pride, Ollech & Wajs brings the legendary Selectron name back to the collection – in the form of the new OW P-104 Selectron. This model incorporates design features of later Selectron watches, especially those of the 1969 "Selectron Calculator" Ref. 004. This historic watch was originally delivered by Ollech & Wajs to General Electric Co. and specially developed for their aerospace engineers and test pilots.

Ollech Wajs OW P-104

Precision meets tradition

In keeping with its historical predecessor, the new OW P-104 Selectron is also equipped with a bidirectional bezel featuring logarithmic scales. This allows numerous mathematical calculations to be performed with just one turn – faster than any so-called smartwatch. Additionally, it requires no battery and remains fully functional underwater up to 300 meters. A truly intelligent solution!

The high-contrast dial, inspired by the minimalist instrumentation of a cockpit, guarantees excellent legibility. The ivory-colored indices and the hands coated with glowing orange Super-LumiNova® ensure optimal visibility even in poor lighting conditions. The design is completed by a RAF regiment strap, a tribute to the close connection of the Selectron watches to military aviation.

Swiss precision on the inside

The watch is powered by the Soprod Newton Precision P092, an outstanding automatic movement specially modified according to OW's specifications. This caliber is independently tested for reliability and robustness at the renowned Laboratoire Dubois in Chaux-de-Fonds. It has been adjusted in five positions, features a distinctive OW-Zürich-1956 engraving on the nickel-coated movement plate, and is equipped with a specially designed rotor shaped like the OW logo.

Limited edition with COSC certification

To celebrate the return of the Selectron, Ollech & Wajs is releasing an exclusive special edition of only 56 numbered pieces. Each model of this limited series is marked by an individual engraving on the crown (Number/56) and additionally features an official COSC certification from the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC). This confirms the highest accuracy and emphasizes the exceptional quality of this timepiece.

A watch for true connoisseurs

The OW P-104 Selectron comes with a regimental-style RAF nylon strap. Additionally, an OW S-Type "Beads of Rice" metal bracelet and a handmade black leather strap are available as accessories.

While digital technologies are increasingly replacing traditional instruments, the OW P-104 Selectron proves that slide rule watches are far from obsolete. This model combines mechanical intelligence with timeless elegance and makes a powerful statement against the digital shift.

FAQs

About me

My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.

Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.

As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

So come along on a journey full of watches... off the mainstream... and if you have a question, please feel free to ask me anytime via the form, chat, WhatsApp, email or phone.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

PS: My hobbies & passions include the internet (first agency already in 1996), Denmark, France's coasts (Brittany, Normandy & Côte d’Azur), hiking, e-MTB, sales (Bachelor of Sales) and photography.

My Achilles' heel includes children's chocolate, good food, sneakers & of course watches... :-)

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.

The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Cancellation & Return Shipping

You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

No response received?

You wrote to me via the contact form, through the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you haven't received a reply?

Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and pushing more and more into spam.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it can sometimes take a bit longer. As a rule, I respond within a few minutes or hours.

Something can slip past me sometimes too. Or the technology doesn't work as it should. Feel free to write to me again at david@watchdavid.com

Mechanics - Sometimes things can happen there too

Before I ship your order, I carefully check each watch for visible defects.

If a problem should occur, such as damage during transport, please inform me immediately. I will do everything possible to quickly find a solution and ensure that you are satisfied.

My goal is to offer you not only high-quality products but also a first-class shopping experience. I look forward to welcoming you as a satisfied customer!
