All about the OLLECH & WAJS OW P-104 SELECTRON

The Return of the Selectron – The New OW P-104 Selectron

With great pride, Ollech & Wajs brings the legendary Selectron designation back into the collection – in the form of the new OW P-104 Selectron. This model incorporates design features of later Selectron watches, especially those of the "Selectron Calculator" Ref. 004, released in 1969. This historic watch was supplied by Ollech & Wajs to General Electric Co. at the time and was specially developed for their aerospace engineers and test pilots.

Precision Meets Tradition

In keeping with its historical predecessor, the new OW P-104 Selectron is also equipped with a bidirectional bezel featuring logarithmic scales. This allows numerous mathematical calculations to be performed with just one rotation – faster than any so-called smartwatch. Furthermore, it requires no battery and remains fully functional underwater up to 300 meters. A truly intelligent solution!

The high-contrast dial, inspired by the minimalist instrumentation of a cockpit, guarantees excellent legibility. The ivory-colored indices and the hands coated with luminous orange Super-LumiNova® ensure optimal visibility even in low light conditions. The design is completed by an RAF regimental strap, a tribute to the close connection of Selectron watches to military aviation.

Swiss Precision Within

The watch is powered by the Soprod Newton Precision P092, an outstanding automatic movement specifically modified to OW's specifications. This caliber is independently tested for its reliability and robustness at the renowned Laboratoire Dubois in Chaux-de-Fonds. It has been adjusted in five positions, features a distinctive OW-Zürich-1956 engraving on the nickel-plated movement plate, and is equipped with a specially designed rotor in the shape of the OW logo.

Limited Edition with COSC Certification

To celebrate the return of the Selectron, Ollech & Wajs is releasing an exclusive special edition of only 56 numbered pieces. Each model in this limited series is marked by an individual engraving on the crown (number/56) and also features an official COSC certification from the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC). This confirms the highest level of accuracy and underscores the exceptional quality of this timepiece.

A Watch for True Connoisseurs

The OW P-104 Selectron comes with a regimental-style RAF nylon strap. Additionally, an OW S-Type "Beads of Rice" metal bracelet and a handcrafted black leather strap are available as accessories.

While digital technologies are increasingly replacing traditional instruments, the OW P-104 Selectron proves that slide rule watches are far from obsolete. This model combines mechanical intelligence with timeless elegance and makes a powerful statement against digital change.

About David from WATCHDAVID

Behind WATCHDAVID.SHOP, I, David Drilling, stand as a true watch enthusiast, watch photographer, and independent tester. Since 2018, I have been providing honest wear reports on my channels. In my shop, I exclusively sell watches whose quality and history I have personally verified. No anonymous mass-produced goods, but personal expertise.

Shipping & No Import Charges

Shipping within Germany and the EU is completely free for you and fully insured via DHL or FedEx Express. Important for you: There are guaranteed to be no import duties, taxes or hidden fees. The exact delivery time for your model will always be transparently displayed directly above the "Buy" button.

You can easily cancel your purchase within 14 days. Unlike other retailers, I will cover the full cost of your return shipping within the EU. Simply send me a short email to david@watchdavid.com and I will send you your free DHL return label. It doesn't get any more risk-free than that.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you 100% that all watches offered are unworn, brand new original goods. In the shop, I strictly differentiate between regular new goods directly from the manufacturer and exclusive photo watches. Photo watches are models that I have used for my videos or photos, or that come from a return. I sell them absolutely honestly as used and significantly reduced – but the full manufacturer's warranty only begins on the day of your purchase!

Warranty & David's "All-Round Carefree Service"

Every watch comes with the full, international manufacturer's warranty (at least 2 years). In the event of a warranty claim, you'll have absolutely no stress: I'll handle all communication with the brand and organize insured round-trip shipping for you. Even after the warranty period expires, I remain your personal point of contact for service inquiries.
