All about the OLLECH & WAJS OW RALLYCHRON 'COUPE DES ALPES'

The Ollech & Wajs Rallychron "Coupe des Alpes" – an homage to the myth of the Alpine Rally

In the 1950s and 1960s, the Coupe des Alpes, also known as the Alpine Rally, was considered one of the most demanding and prestigious motorsport events worldwide. The competition covered a breathtaking but dangerous route of 820 kilometers, divided into three stages, through some of Europe's most impressive high mountain passes. Ollech & Wajs, together with Rallystory, dedicates a special limited edition to precisely this legendary chapter of motorsport: the Rallychron "Coupe des Alpes" – a watch that breathes history and lives technology.

3 years warranty! 300m, Valjoux 7753, ....

Limited to 56 pieces per year.

With both straps.

Limited edition with profound meaning

The production of the Rallychron "Coupe des Alpes" is limited to only 56 pieces annually. This number is doubly significant: on the one hand, it refers to the founding year of the Ollech & Wajs brand in 1956, and on the other hand, it commemorates the 56 two-person teams that started in the toughest edition of the rally in 1958. This limited edition not only emphasizes the exclusive character of the timepiece but also symbolizes the close connection between the brand and the tradition of rally sport.

Design and technology from a golden era

Inspired by the spirit of the 1960s, the Rallychron combines the aesthetics of historical OW stopwatches with state-of-the-art watchmaking. The dial proudly bears the inscription "Coupe des Alpes" and, in its design, quotes the striking Alpine blue of the original rally plaques. Chequered baton hands with white Super-LumiNova® ensure excellent readability under all conditions. The hands of the chronograph functions – seconds, 30-minute, and 12-hour counters – are also painted in Alpine blue, with a white luminous tip on the stop-seconds hand for maximum visibility.

OLLECH & WAJS OW RALLYCHRON 'COUPE DES ALPES'

A chronograph with a precise heartbeat

The Rallychron is powered by a particularly finely regulated automatic caliber Valjoux 7753, which is listed under the predicate OW PRECISION 5 at OW. The watch is regulated in five positions to ensure maximum accuracy. The movement beats at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and has a power reserve of approximately 54 hours. In addition, the specially engraved rotor with the inscription "Coupe des Alpes 2025" and the engraved origin "Ollech & Wajs Zurich 1956" adorns the back – a tribute to history and origin.

Robust construction for extreme conditions

The watch is encased in a solid brushed 316L stainless steel case, equipped with a screwed-down case back, a screw-down crown, and pressure-resistant pushers, each with four gaskets. This ensures a water resistance of up to 300 meters (30 ATM) – for a watch that is intended for motorsport as well as everyday use. The unidirectional rotating tachymeter bezel with black PVD coating and eleven precisely defined lap times not only gives the watch functionality but also visual appeal.

Variety on the wrist – two straps included

The Rallychron comes with an extremely robust M-Heritage stainless steel Milanese bracelet, whose brushed surface and reinforced ends stand for durability and comfort. The pin buckle is engraved with "OWZ 1956" – another detail that emphasizes the historical connection. Additionally, a sporty Alpine blue nylon strap with a white central stripe is included, also with an engraved pin buckle. This allows the watch to be individually adapted to style and occasion.

Precision from the heart of Switzerland

Each Rallychron "Coupe des Alpes" is created with meticulous craftsmanship in the Swiss Jura. The manufacturing combines decades of artisanal experience with the quality standards of modern watchmaking. The price includes both straps as well as worldwide delivery including all taxes and customs duties.

With the Rallychron "Coupe des Alpes", Ollech & Wajs presents not only a technical masterpiece but also an emotional tribute to a time when motorsport was wilder, more passionate, and untamed – and to those who faced this challenge.

In my shop, I exclusively sell watches whose quality and history I have personally verified. No anonymous mass-produced goods, but personal expertise.

Shipping & No Import Charges

Shipping within Germany and the EU is completely free for you and fully insured via DHL or FedEx Express. Important for you: There are guaranteed to be no import duties, taxes or hidden fees. The exact delivery time for your model will always be transparently displayed directly above the "Buy" button.

Cancellations & Free Returns

You can easily cancel your purchase within 14 days. Unlike other retailers, I will cover the full cost of your return shipping within the EU. Simply send me a short email to david@watchdavid.com and I will send you your free DHL return label. It doesn't get any more risk-free than that.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you 100% that all watches offered are unworn, brand new original goods. In the shop, I strictly differentiate between regular new goods directly from the manufacturer and exclusive photo watches. Photo watches are models that I have used for my videos or photos, or that come from a return. I sell them absolutely honestly as used and significantly reduced – but the full manufacturer's warranty only begins on the day of your purchase!

Warranty & David's "All-Round Carefree Service"

Every watch comes with the full, international manufacturer's warranty (at least 2 years). In the event of a warranty claim, you'll have absolutely no stress: I'll handle all communication with the brand and organize insured round-trip shipping for you. Even after the warranty period expires, I remain your personal point of contact for service inquiries.

Quality Control

Mechanical watches are fascinating masterpieces. Before dispatch, each watch undergoes a thorough optical and mechanical final inspection. Should a problem ever arise despite our secure transport protection, please inform me immediately by email. I will promptly arrange for a quick, uncomplicated replacement.
