All about the OLLECH & WAJS OW RALLYE DE PARIS

OW Rallychron “Rallye de Paris” – An Homage to Classic Motorsport

The OW Rallychron “Rallye de Paris” is an exclusive special edition dedicated to the legendary rally event launched in 1993 by the Rallystory organization. The original idea: a connection between the Eiffel Tower and a famous French racetrack – a unique blend of picturesque roads, historic vehicles, and authentic racing spirit.

In collaboration with Rallystory, Ollech & Wajs has created this special chronograph, impressively honoring the tradition, passion, and longevity of this event.

Limited Edition with Historical Reference

The production of the Rallychron “Rallye de Paris” is strictly limited to 56 pieces per year – a deliberate reference to the founding year of Ollech & Wajs in 1956.

This exclusive limitation emphasizes the collector's value and the special significance of this model within the collection.

Design Inspired by 1960s Motorsport

The Rallychron adopts the aesthetic of motorsport’s golden era, drawing inspiration from Ollech & Wajs’ historical competition timepieces of the 1960s.

The dial features the “Rallye de Paris” signature and is complemented by the iconic Rally Red, reminiscent of classic racing number plates. The design combines sporty functionality with an authentic vintage character.

The Chequered-Baton style hands and elements coated with Super-LumiNova® ensure optimal readability – even in poor lighting conditions. The tip of the chronograph hand is also luminescent, guaranteeing maximum visibility during time measurements.

Precise Chronograph Function

The Rallychron is equipped with a classic chronograph layout, consisting of:

  • small seconds
  • 30-minute counter
  • 12-hour totalizer

The unidirectional rotating bezel features a tachymeter scale and markings for two perfect lap times – a functional detail that emphasizes its connection to racing.

High-Quality Case and Robust Construction

The case is made of 316L stainless steel with a brushed finish in a classic heritage style. It features a screwed-down case back, a screw-down crown, and pushers with four gaskets for added security.

With a water resistance of 300 meters (30 ATM), the chronograph is not only suitable for motorsport but also for demanding conditions.

An anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial and ensures clear visibility in all conditions.

Powerful Automatic Movement

Inside, a specially adjusted Valjoux 7753 automatic chronograph movement operates, a direct descendant of the legendary Valjoux 72, which was used in numerous iconic chronographs of the 1960s and 1970s.

The movement is individually regulated, tested in five positions, and thus meets the requirements of OW Precision certification.

A special highlight is the engraved rotor with the “Rallye de Paris” motif, which further emphasizes the exclusivity of this edition.

Comfortable Racing Strap

The chronograph is worn on a handmade, perforated leather racing-style strap. Made in Italy, it offers optimal ventilation and high wearing comfort – ideal for extended wear.

The strap is completed by an engraved OWZ 1956 pin buckle, which reflects the brand's historical heritage.

Optionally, the watch can be equipped with additional bracelets, including a 316L stainless steel bracelet (M) and the M-Heritage Bracelet, which give the timepiece a sporty-elegant look and offer maximum flexibility for everyday use.

Swiss Craftsmanship

Each watch is handcrafted in the Swiss Jura, combining traditional watchmaking with modern precision.

Conclusion

The OW Rallychron “Rallye de Paris” is more than just a chronograph – it is an homage to classic motorsport, to precision, and to the history of a brand rich in tradition. Limited, technically sophisticated, and stylistically distinctive, it is aimed at lovers of authentic racing watches.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.

Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com
