Royale Paris – French Haute Horlogerie in Perfection

The Royale Paris is available in a smaller case diameter of 39.5 millimeters and was developed with particular attention to craftsmanship and proportions. The aim was to provide the Calibre Royal®, the heart of this watch, with an equally dignified and harmonious setting. The watch combines technical sophistication with an expressive, sculptural aesthetic.

Case Design & Finish

The case is made of stainless steel with polished and satin-finished surfaces and is characterized by its clearly contoured lines. The distinctive lugs of the collection have been further refined, featuring a brushed top and polished side surfaces. Characteristic is the concave recess that runs along the dial edge, giving the case additional depth. Discreetly recessed flanks emphasize the elegant silhouette and create a geometry that masterfully combines strength and style.

The dial is protected by a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which significantly contributes to the watch's elegant appearance. The screwed bezel provides additional stability, while the crown with an embossed "Fleur-de-Lys" logo is a characteristic detail of the manufacture. The moon phase corrector is located at 8:30 o'clock. With a case thickness of 11.5 millimeters and a water resistance of 5 ATM, the watch is ideal for daily wear.

Dial & Displays

The green dial features a strikingly embossed grain with a circumferential notch, giving it depth and texture. The rhodium-plated logo harmoniously integrates into the overall design. Beveled hour markers with polished and satin-finished surfaces ensure clear readability and high-quality light reflections.

At 8 o'clock is the power reserve indicator with a hand, while the small seconds is placed at 3:30 o'clock with a polished and satin-finished edge. The polished large date display elegantly complements the display functionality. Polished steel hour and minute hands are equipped with Super-LumiNova TC1 in blue, while the seconds hand and power reserve hand are also made of polished steel.

Exclusive Moon Phase Display

A central highlight of the Royale Paris is the unique double moon phase display at 6 o'clock. For the first time, the moon is realistically depicted in its two hemispheres – North and South. Both moon windows are diamond-polished to achieve a particularly luminous and deep visual effect. The depiction is based on a real photograph of the moon and underscores the uncompromising attention to detail for which Pequignet is known.

The Calibre Royal® – Technology & Precision

Inside the watch beats the Calibre Royal®, a movement with 318 components entirely developed and manufactured in-house. It is the first French movement to combine all complications on a single plate and is protected by eight international patents. A large mainspring barrel allows for a 96-hour power reserve, a significant increase over the previous version.

The automatic movement features a unique, bi-directionally winding rotor with sunray brushing and rhodium-plated Lys-3N decoration, as well as a large balance wheel with compensation screws and high inertia. The double large date and day of the week display with quick change on the same axis allows for comfortable corrections at any time. With a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour and 39 jewels, the movement guarantees a daily rate deviation of –4 to +6 seconds, with an average deviation of ±2 seconds per day.

Manufacture & Origin

The Calibre Royal® is assembled by hand in the Morteau manufacture workshops. All components originate from within an 80-kilometer radius of the manufacture – a clear commitment to regional watchmaking artistry. The case back, secured with six screws, features a sapphire crystal opening that provides a view of the finely decorated movement.

Wearing Comfort & Strap

The Royale Paris is equipped with an easy-to-use strap changing system. When purchasing the watch with an alligator leather strap, an additional leather strap is included. The lug width of 20 millimeters and the stainless steel folding clasp ensure a secure fit and high wearing comfort.
