Squale SUB-37 Legend – Return to the Essence of the Dive Watch

With the SUB-37 Legend, Squale presents a timepiece that deliberately focuses on the essentials: proportions, functionality, and character. Unveiled in March 2026 in Geneva at the Time to Watches fair, this model symbolizes a return to the origins of professional dive watches.

Inspired by the instruments of the golden age of diving, the SUB-37 embodies a clear design philosophy: every line is well thought out, every detail functional. Instead of following trends, it consistently adheres to the tradition of true tool watches.

Compact Size, Authentic Proportions

With a case diameter of 37 mm, the SUB-37 is based on historical dive watches that were primarily developed for use – not for visual exaggeration. The result is a watch that wears comfortably and at the same time convinces with its authentic presence.

The 316L stainless steel case with a polished finish is complemented by a screw-down crown and a screw-down case back, further emphasizing its robustness. With a water resistance of 300 meters, the watch meets all requirements for a professional diver.

Vintage Character with Modern Technology

The box-shaped sapphire crystal adopts the look of classic plexiglass and combines it with modern resistance and scratch resistance. This design not only provides an authentic vintage look but also ensures optimal legibility.

The matte black dial with printed indices and vintage logo is complemented by Super-LumiNova Old Radium, which ensures excellent legibility even in difficult lighting conditions – both above and below water.

Functional Bezel for Real Operations

The unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks is clearly structured and designed for maximum functionality. The domed K1 glass insert in glossy black provides additional depth and a high-quality look.

The luminous markers allow for precise timekeeping during diving and emphasize the instrumental character of the watch.

Proven Swiss Mechanics

Inside, a modified Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement without date function in the Elaboré quality level is at work. This reliable caliber stands for precision and longevity and meets the demands of a professional timepiece.

With a power reserve of approx. 38 to 41 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), the movement offers stable and precise performance – both in everyday life and under demanding conditions.

Comfortable Rubber Strap

The SUB-37 is equipped with a high-quality Bonetto Cinturini rubber strap, made from Italian vulcanized rubber. The characteristic ladder design ensures high wearing comfort, flexibility, and durability.

The polished pin buckle completes the overall look and ensures a secure fit on the wrist.

A Watch with History

Squale is one of the most traditional names in professional dive watches. Founded in 1959 in Neuchâtel, the brand quickly developed into an important supplier for numerous renowned manufacturers.

Between the 1960s and 1980s, Squale supplied cases and components for over 30 brands and equipped professional divers as well as military units. Names like Enzo Maiorca and Jacques Mayol exemplify the brand's close connection to diving.

The SUB-37 ties in with this heritage – as a modern interpretation of a classic tool watch.
