All about the The Triton SPIROTECHNIQUE Classic black

The Return of an Icon

With the Spirotechnique, Triton is bringing back a legendary dive watch that set new standards as early as 1963. Developed at the time by Colonel Jean René Parmentier for professional use, it combined avant-garde design with the highest functionality. The new Spirotechnique remains true to this heritage, combining historical design elements with state-of-the-art watchmaking. Every detail has been carefully reworked to preserve the unmistakable aesthetics of the original Triton dive watch, while technical improvements elevate its performance to a new level.

Case – Vintage Design with Modern Robustness

The distinctive stainless steel case of the Spirotechnique remains true to its historical predecessor and impresses with classic proportions of 39 mm diameter. The gently curved lines, the domed sapphire crystal and the polished and satin-finished surfaces give it an elegant yet functional character.

Despite its nostalgic design, the case offers an impressive water resistance of 200 meters, which is ensured by elaborate testing procedures. Like its famous predecessor from the 1960s, the new Spirotechnique was designed for tough use underwater. The result is a robust, meticulously designed dive watch that will delight both adventurers and collectors.

Crown Guard – An Unmistakable Feature

A central feature of every Triton watch is the unusual crown position at 12 o'clock. This unique construction, combined with the movable crown guard, not only provides high protection against shocks but also an unmistakable look. Since 1963, this striking detail has set Triton watches apart from all other dive watches and underscores their innovative character.

Movement – Swiss Precision with High Power Reserve

Inside the Spirotechnique beats a mechanical automatic movement specially designed for Triton, based on the renowned La Joux-Perret G100. This caliber, entirely manufactured in Switzerland, operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and offers an impressive power reserve of 68 hours – a decisive advantage for anyone who doesn't want to wind their watch daily.

The movement is refined with fine Côtes de Genève engravings on the rotor and bridge, which, with their decorative design, underline Triton's high craftsmanship standards. In addition to a precise hour, minute, and second display, the caliber features a date function with quick adjustment and a hack second function for exact time setting.

Dial & Bezel – Perfect Legibility in Any Environment

The Spirotechnique's dial was specifically designed for optimal legibility under various conditions. The generously sized hands and indices, coated with Super-Luminova, glow brightly and guarantee excellent legibility even in complete darkness. The fine craftsmanship of the dials requires high precision, especially for the intricate application of the luminous material.

Another highlight is the unidirectional rotating diver's bezel, which clicks precisely with 120 clicks. The synthetic resin insert gives it a classic vintage character, while the prominent, Super-Luminova coated numerals ensure excellent legibility even underwater.

Strap – A Touch of Nostalgia with Modern Comfort

The Spirotechnique's design is rounded off by a Tropic sport strap, specially developed for this model. Inspired by the iconic dive watches of the 1960s, it combines the classic look with the durability of modern materials. The fine grained texture of the rubber is reminiscent of its historical predecessors and ensures a pleasant feel and maximum wearing comfort – whether over a wetsuit or directly on the wrist.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
