From the fire of the Venetian glass furnaces
The origin of Avventurina dates back to a fortunate discovery in the 17th century, when Venetian glassmakers accidentally added copper particles to a blue glass batch. The result was a unique, sparkling material – streaked with crystalline inclusions that resemble a starry night sky. This new type of glass became known as "Avventurina" – derived from the Italian avventura, the word for adventure, and quickly became a symbol of Venetian craftsmanship that spread throughout Europe.
Even today, this tradition lives on in the glass furnaces of Murano, where raw materials are transformed into precious unique pieces through heat and skill. This living history is now also reflected in our watch: The Arsenale Avventurina embraces the art of glassmaking and gives it a new, contemporary face.
The magic of production
The basis for genuine aventurine glass is the precisely controlled fusion of silicon dioxide with finely dosed copper particles. Only through extremely slow cooling does the copper content transform into sparkling crystals. This technique requires not only experience but also absolute mastery of the entire process – as the slightest temperature deviations can alter the result.
After solidification, the glass is cut into thin slices with the highest precision – ideal for use as a dial. Each of these steps reflects a level of craftsmanship that reveals the complexity behind the seemingly effortless shine.
A slim companion with depth
Designing a flat automatic watch, especially with a two-layer dial, is a special challenge. For the Arsenale Avventurina, genuine aventurine glass was mounted on a finely brushed brass plate. This construction gives the dial a spatial depth without increasing the height.
Thanks to the compact Miyota 9039 caliber – a movement without a date display and with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour – it was possible to reduce the case to only 9.95 millimeters. This creates a perfect harmony between technology, design, and wearing comfort.
A symbol of past and future
The case back of this watch is adorned with an intricately engraved motif: the famous Towers of the Arsenale of Venice. This depiction is much more than a visual detail – it symbolizes the bridge between tradition and modernity.
Just as the historic Arsenale once stood for progress and craftsmanship excellence, this watch combines classic watchmaking tradition with modern style awareness. The result is a timepiece that reveals its origin with every glance while daring to look clearly into the future.

About me
My name is David, I was born in the late 60s in NRW, now live and work in the beautiful Harz Mountains, and have been running this watch shop, among other things, since spring 2022.
Since 2018, I have also been running my watch blog watchdavid.de, which features hundreds of reviews and watch news. Since then, I have taken thousands of professional watch photos for over 100 watch brands. Many photos can be found in my reviews. I am known worldwide for this.
As a result, I naturally had thousands of watches in my hands. And with this shop, I want to bring you closer to watches that have convinced me in many ways.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.
The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Cancellation & Return Shipping
You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
