All about the Venezianico Arsenale Bronze - 6221555 Brown
Arsenale Bronzo — a watch that lives
Currently sold out
The fascination of the Arsenale Bronzo lies in its material: bronze is not merely a technical element here, but a living feature that transforms with use, lending a very personal touch to the watch. Over the years, fine discolorations and shades develop, reshaping each surface and turning a mass-produced item into a unique piece; this visible evolution — the patina — acts less as a flaw and more as a signature of time, giving the wearer a sense of continuity between craftsmanship and everyday life. Together with a robust rubber strap, the watch presents itself as a combination of wearable durability and stylistic presence, designed for people seeking a long-lasting, expressive companion.

Dial and play of light
The dial is crafted on a brass base using the enamel technique, creating a particularly smooth, almost mirror-like surface that clearly defines the finest details and achieves remarkable purity in the field of view. This serene base meets a smoky sunray finish, known as fumé, where the color gradually darkens from the center to the edge; this interplay of gloss and shading creates depth, allowing the dial to breathe vibrantly depending on the light, and constantly setting the hands and indices in shifting light — an effect that makes viewing an act of discovery.
Technology and proportions
While the face of the watch showcases artisanal refinement, a reliable automatic movement, the Miyota 9039, works within, forgoing a date complication in its clear three-hand arrangement so as not to disturb the aesthetic. The dimensions are deliberately well-balanced: with a diameter of Ø40 mm, a lug-to-lug of 44 mm, and an overall height of only 9.95 mm, the Arsenale Bronzo wears prominently but never overpoweringly. The case is made of the aluminum-based marine alloy QAl9-4, which offers high corrosion resistance and develops a characteristic, naturally maturing surface; the bezel is knurled in the same material, the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating guarantees clear legibility, and Swiss-Made BGW9 Super-LumiNova® ensures readability at night. Despite its artisanal details, the watch remains suitable for everyday wear: its water resistance of 5 atmospheres offers reliable protection against moisture, and the overall well-thought-out construction combines technology and wearing comfort without compromise.

Origin and Venetian grace
The design draws its inspiration from the historical imagery of Venice; the famous horses of St. Mark's Basilica served as a timeless model here. The ancient bronzes, which once arrived in San Marco from distant workshops and became a symbol of urban splendor in the 13th century, represent journeys, power, and artistic ambition — motifs subtly echoed in the watch's design. This reference embodies not only nostalgia but also an honest homage to the regional San Marco heritage and artisanal skill; the source of inspiration simultaneously honors classic sculpture and modern, precise watchmaking, thus the vibrant interplay of tradition and present in Venetian bronze craftsmanship.
The case back as a narrative detail
As a deliberate counterpoint to the warm, evolving tone of the bronze, the case back made of 316L stainless steel reveals a finely detailed scene to the viewer: an engraving of the horses, sculpturally modeled through a combination of sandblasting and radial satin finishing, creating plasticity, light-and-shadow play, and apparent movement. This technically precise, yet artistically elaborated finish forms its own microcosm, in which the story of the watch — its origin, its inspiration, and the connection between decorative art and industrial manufacturing — becomes visible; precisely in this contrast between the warm case and the cool case back, the design intent and narrative depth of the model are revealed.

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
