A tribute to speed on the water

Venezianico Bucintoro 42 - 8221510

Our stopwatch is named after the Bucintoro, the splendid ship with which the Doge of Venice opened the annual rowing competition now known as the "Regata Storica" (Historic Regatta). This regatta ideally combines the competitive concept of speed on the water with the grace of tradition.

Versatile design

The curved profile and proportions of the case make this stopwatch an everyday companion that also features a refined and noble appearance. With a comfortable leather strap or the elegant steel strap, the Bucintoro offers an extremely versatile design that fits perfectly into sporting settings.

Sportiness on the wrist

A stopwatch is the ideal companion for those who like it sporty. Its balanced case and dynamic design make it the perfect watch for your adventures, ready to measure speed with unique style and flair.Venezianico Bucintoro 42 - 8221510

Stopwatch functions of the Venezianico Bucintoro 42 - 8221510

The Bucintoro has three displays for the stopwatch functions. The stopwatch seconds hand is mounted on the central shaft and also allows reading the speed (on the kilometre scale) via the tachymeter scale on the back. The 30-minute stopwatch counter is at 9 o’clock and contrasts with the continuous seconds counter at 3 o’clock. The third counter below finally shows the hours.

A new case shape

Venezianico Bucintoro 42 - 8221510

With a diameter of 42 mm, the Bucintoro features a very slim case with a thickness of 11.70 mm. This case shape, together with a domed sapphire glass of 1.90 mm, represents an exceptional advantage compared to most automatic stopwatches and guarantees a perfect fit even on the thinnest wrists.

Column wheel and vertical clutch

Venezianico Bucintoro 42 - 8221510

Systems with column wheel and vertical clutch are the most precise, but also eliminate the annoying phenomenon of the so-called "jumping hand" that occurs in systems that do not use them. The column wheel has a shape reminiscent of the tip of a medieval battlement. To ensure smoother engagement and thus a more pleasant user experience, each lever (i.e., each "column") must be hand-finished to remove even the smallest machining residues.

FAQs

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David and I have been deeply involved with watches for many years – not only as a dealer but especially as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I have been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project with reviews, videos, and genuine wearing experiences. Many of the watches you find here I have worn myself – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is deliberately kept personal. I only sell watches that I truly stand behind – no anonymous mass products, no dropshipping, no “quick trends.” Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are my priorities.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I like good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a noted weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, I ship free of charge. Shipping is done via DHL and insured up to 500€, 2,500€, or 25,000€, depending on the watch value. The watches are thus always sufficiently insured.

The delivery time can be found in the description and/or under the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after ordering, others are brand new and, for example, only available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Cancellation & Return Shipping

You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the costs for the return shipping for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself, I will send you the free return label.

Please simply contact me for this. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of signs of use. After successful inspection, I will refund you the purchase price. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee you that all watches I offer are exclusively new original products. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly point this out (e.g. so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I offer you exclusively authentic products. These are offered in the original packaging, with warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in the so-called full set. One delivers more, another less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which usually lasts two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

If a warranty case occurs, I will take care of the shipping to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and also organize the return shipment to you. In addition, I handle all communication with the manufacturer so that you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

You wrote to me via the contact form, through the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you haven't received a reply?

Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and pushing more and more into spam.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it can sometimes take a bit longer. As a rule, I respond within a few minutes or hours.

Something can slip past me sometimes too. Or the technology doesn't work as it should. Feel free to write to me again at david@watchdavid.com

Mechanics - Sometimes things can happen there too

Before I ship your order, I carefully check each watch for visible defects.

If a problem should occur, such as damage during transport, please inform me immediately. I will do everything possible to quickly find a solution and ensure that you are satisfied.

My goal is to offer you not only high-quality products but also a first-class shopping experience. I look forward to welcoming you as a satisfied customer!
