Chronograph functions of the Venezianico Bucintoro 42 - 8221511

The Bucintoro features three displays for the chronograph functions. The chronograph second hand is mounted on the central shaft, which also allows reading the speed (on the kilometer scale) via the tachymetric scale on the back. The 30-minute chronograph counter is located at 9 o'clock and contrasts with the continuous seconds counter at 3 o'clock. The third counter below finally displays the hours.

A new case shape

With a diameter of 42 mm, the Bucintoro is characterized by a very slim case with a thickness of 11.70 mm. This case shape, to which a domed sapphire crystal of 1.90 mm is added, represents an exceptional plus compared to most automatic chronographs and guarantees a perfect fit even on the thinnest wrists.

Column wheel and vertical clutch

Systems with a column wheel and vertical clutch are the most precise, but they also solve the annoying phenomenon of the so-called "jumping hand" that occurs in systems that do not use them. The column wheel has a shape reminiscent of the top of a medieval battlements. To ensure smoother engagement and thus a more pleasant user experience, each crank (i.e. each "column") must be re-machined by hand to remove even the smallest machining residues.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.

I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.

Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com

Mechanics - Sometimes things can go wrong
