All about the Venezianico Nereide Amethyst 4521545
All about the Venezianico Nereide Ametista, which impresses with its purple dial.
The first batch of 400 pieces sold out in no time.
The Nereide Ametista combines the rich Venetian craftsmanship tradition with experimentation with modern materials. In addition to the precious dial, it is characterized by the use of a tungsten bezel, an indestructible metal known for its excellent mechanical properties and durability.
The Origin of Amethyst
Amethyst is a variety of quartz with a purple color, ranging from light and delicate shades to more intense and deep tones. Its beauty is further enhanced by its ability to finely reflect light, creating a luminous and enveloping effect. Thanks to its unique luster and elegance, amethyst has been used for centuries to create high-quality jewelry and art objects.
Brief History of Amethyst in Venice
In the Middle Ages, Venice, thanks to its strategic location and its connections with the East, including the Byzantine Empire and the Arab territories, became an important center for gemstone trade. Amethyst, originating from India and Persia, was particularly prized. Thanks to its excellent craftsmanship, Venice transformed amethyst into jewelry and ornaments of immeasurable value, which were not only artistic masterpieces but also tangible symbols of wealth and prestige.
Manufacturing of the Dial
The manufacturing of a dial follows a similar process to the one described earlier, but involves an additional complexity: the fine cutting of an amethyst disc only 0.4 mm thick. This process requires exceptional precision and careful control of tools, as the stone is very fragile and can chip easily. Once these steps are completed, the dial is meticulously assembled by specialized craftsmen.
The Essence of Venice
Wearing a watch with an amethyst dial is an experience that deeply connects us with the elegance and history of Venice. Every time we lift our wrist to check the time, we immerse ourselves in the richness of a centuries-old cultural heritage, in a story of distant trades, craftsmanship, and a gemstone that has captivated generations. The reflections and deep hues of amethyst take us on a journey through Venetian history, highlighting the city's ability to showcase the natural beauty of this extraordinary stone.

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
