The Nereide Lapislazzuli blends Venetian tradition with materials of extraordinary value. The lapis lazuli dial, known for its deep blue and symbol of nobility, carries a history spanning millennia. The Nereide Lapislazzuli is also available with our second bracelet, inspired by the works of Renaissance sculptor Jacopo Sansovino, renowned for his mastery and attention to detail. Comprising five links – two polished and three satin-finished – it offers a perfect balance of elegance and robustness. The solid clasp with a double finish and micro-adjustment ensures a comfortable and secure fit, ideal for diving enthusiasts.
The Stone of Art
Lapis lazuli, with its deep blue symbolizing nobility and spirituality, played a crucial role in the development of ultramarine pigment. This pigment, known for its exceptional blue, was widely used in European sacred art.
In the Middle Ages, Venice established itself as the main port for lapis lazuli from Afghan mines. By controlling the trade of this mineral and ultramarine, Venice solidified its economic and cultural influence, enriching its artistic heritage and affirming itself as a central hub of history and mysticism.
To honor this tradition, Venezianico has created a Nereide featuring a lapis lazuli dial, with only 400 pieces to be produced for 2024.
In Search of the Perfect Blue
The production of ultramarine from lapis lazuli was a sophisticated and complex art. Raw lapis lazuli was crushed in a stone mortar and then ground into a fine powder. This powder was mixed with water and binders to form a paste, which was then washed to remove impurities and isolate the pure ultramarine pigment. The result was an intense and luminous blue pigment, renowned for its beauty and durability.
Lapis lazuli is a gemstone of intense deep blue, often streaked with golden pyrite veins. Its surface is characterized by a grainy texture and a luminous color ranging from azure to dark blue.

"Ich war sofort schockverliebt, obwohl ich nur das eine Foto gesehen habe. Genug um mir vorstellen zu können, wie das Zifferblatt aussieht. Den Rest der Uhr kennt man ja bereits, zumindest ich. Hatte hunderte in der Hand. Die typische, schöne Venezianico Nereide als typische Taucheruhr. Sorry das es noch keine weiteren Details gibt, für mich kein Grund die Uhr nicht zu bestellen. Wie gesagt, das eine Foto reicht mir schon um mir meine Uhr zu sichern. "

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
