All about the Venezianico Nereide Opal Limited Edition
Nereide Opale – Light as identity. Each dial unique.
The Nereide Opale is the result of an intense exploration of materiality and its influence on a watch's identity. Over years, this research led to working with increasingly complex mineral surfaces – all the way to lab-grown opal, one of the rarest and most fascinating materials in watchmaking. Its intricate processing and strict selection procedures make it an exceptional choice, rewarded with unique chromatic effects.
SOLD OUT!
As a limited & numbered edition of 500 pieces, this model embodies a material's ability to transform light and constantly create new visual impressions.

The Opal Dial – A lively interplay of light and color
Opal consists of microscopic silica spheres that refract and scatter light. This creates reflections that change depending on the viewing angle. This phenomenon has fascinated people since antiquity: Pliny the Elder described opal as a stone in which many colors coexist simultaneously. Opal has no fixed color – it is the light passing through it that constantly creates new nuances.
The dial used for the Nereide Opale is made of lab-grown opal with a multi-color iridescent pattern, produced by Kyocera® in Japan. Controlled production under replicated natural conditions allows for larger and more uniform surfaces than natural opal, without losing its depth, brilliance, and individuality. Each dial blank remains unique.

Sensitive Craftsmanship – Precision in every detail
After the initial cut, the opal is gradually brought to the required thickness in a completely manual process. The material is extremely sensitive to pressure changes, which is why each processing step demands a high degree of experience and dexterity. In this phase, the final visual effect of the dial is created – shaped by the precision and sensitivity of the finisher.
Reliable movement with aesthetic appeal
Inside the watch, the Swiss Made automatic movement Sellita SW200-1 operates, known for its reliability and precision. The movement is complemented by a custom-designed, skeletonized, and rhodium-plated rotor, featuring a radial Côtes-de-Genève finish. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement remains visible, giving the Nereide Opale a high recognition value on the reverse side as well.
Case, Materials & Everyday Suitability
The case of the Nereide Opale is made of 316L stainless steel and measures 42 millimeters in diameter, with a lug-to-lug length of 49 millimeters and an overall height of 12.5 millimeters. It is complemented by a polished and scratch-resistant tungsten bezel with a hardness of 9/10 on the Mohs scale, offering exceptional resistance.

An anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial, while BGW9 Super-LumiNova® from Switzerland ensures optimal readability in low light conditions. With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres (200 meters), the watch is also suitable for demanding use in water.
Limited Edition with Exclusive Presentation
The Nereide Opale is released in a limited edition of 500 pieces and comes in a specially designed packaging. The silver-colored finish of the box echoes the light reflections of the opal dial and disperses them in a controlled manner – an initial visual hint at the central design element of this model: light as a design principle.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee you 100% that all watches offered are unworn, brand new original goods.
