The Art of Bronze: Between History and Innovation

For centuries, bronze has been part of Venetian history, from the Horses of St. Mark to the many smithing workshops that have passed down the art of metal casting and craftsmanship. Venice has long been a center of excellence in this field, with artisans capable of transforming bronze into refined and durable works. This legacy is brought to life in the Redentore Bronzo, where each piece is cast from a mold and meticulously finished by hand, highlighting the unique properties of a material rooted in centuries of tradition.

A Dial with a Timeless Soul

The Redentore Bronzo dial is crafted using an artisanal process that enhances its depth and identity. Made from a soft brass alloy, it is first polished to achieve a gleaming surface, then satin-finished to soften reflections, and finally bronzed to give it a vintage-inspired, worn look. Subsequently, artisans apply targeted abrasions, subtly revealing the underlying metal and mimicking the natural aging process. The result is an authentic dial where every detail tells a story of the interplay between material and time.

Harmony in just 10 mm Thickness

With a slim profile of just 10 mm, the Redentore Bronzo combines elegance and comfort. This is made possible by the Miyota 9039 movement, a high-beat automatic caliber that ensures precision and reliability within a thinner, well-balanced case. In addition to improved ergonomics, the refined finish enhances the watch's character, amplifying the distinctive appeal of bronze and lending it a sophisticated, harmonious aesthetic.

Venetian Art Engraved on the Caseback

The Redentore Bronzo features a 316L stainless steel caseback secured with six screws – a choice that prevents the bronze patina from coming into contact with the skin, while ensuring longevity. The engraving is inspired by the iconic St. Mark's Horses, a symbol of Venetian art and heritage. A combination of sandblasted and radially brushed finishes highlights the intricate details, giving the caseback a refined and distinctive appearance.

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
