All about the Vintage VDB TIMER T CHRONO POLISHED

Presence on the Wrist

With its striking dimensions, the watch immediately appears dominant and present — 48 × 57 × 20 mm is not a discreet invitation, but a deliberate statement. This volume demands attention on the wrist, making an impression and emphasizing an aesthetic stance that calls for character rather than restraint. Anyone looking for a watch that won't go unnoticed in everyday life will find exactly the right expression in these proportions: it is built to be seen and rewards the eye with a clear, almost architectural presence.

Material & Finish

The case, made of polished stainless steel, plays with light and reflections without losing its seriousness; the glossy surface highlights edges and construction details, lending the piece an elegant touch. In combination with its robust volume, a tension arises between formal elegance and functional demands, giving the watch universal applicability — worn with a jacket as well as with jeans, it never looks out of place, but always self-assured.

Dial and Luminousness

The dial thrives on its clear legibility, as Super-LumiNova on the numerals and hands ensures that the watch reliably provides information at dusk and at night. This luminous material is not only practical, but it also structures the surface in such a way that one can immediately find orientation even in difficult lighting conditions. During the day, the design recedes calmly; in the dark, the luminosity takes center stage — an interplay that elegantly combines everyday usability and design intelligence.

Crown, Protection and Ease of Use

The screwed crown with integrated crown protection acts like a small technical assurance: it protects the movement from unintentional interference and increases resistance to external influences. At the same time, its operation is designed so that winding and setting feel like a well-dosed resistance — not rough, but clearly noticeable. This combination of protective mechanism and ergonomics makes handling more reliable in everyday life and creates confidence in the timekeeper's functional safety.

Glass & Durability

A sapphire crystal lies above the dial, guaranteeing long-term clarity and protection for the watch; the hardness of sapphire preserves fine details and prevents scratches that could dilute its character over the years. This material is a statement of durability: it preserves the appearance, maintains legibility, and ensures that the watch still looks fresh even after intensive use. Such choices in material selection show that substance was prioritized here.

Mechanics & Functionality

Inside, the renowned ETA 7750, a Swiss-made automatic movement with chronograph function, ensures robustness and precise timekeeping. This caliber brings not only technical substance but also a service infrastructure that supports long-term maintenance and reliability. For the wearer, this means: a true mechanical heart that can handle both everyday life and more demanding use scenarios — a meaningful foundation for a watch that can be put to good use.

Straps and Versatility

The watch is delivered with a leather and rubber strap, allowing its character to quickly transform from an elegant companion to a sporty all-rounder. While the leather adds warmer, more classic accents, the rubber strap offers comfort and resilience during activity and in wet conditions. This versatility makes the watch flexible: you can change the strap — and thus, atmospherically, its appearance — without tools, depending on whether the occasion or daily schedule is more formal or active.

Overall Impression

As a whole, the model presents itself as a powerfully thought-out construction: generous dimensions, glossy surfaces, clear luminous accents, robust glass, and a proven chronograph movement combine to create a statement watch that convinces both visually and technically. For enthusiasts of striking timepieces who value presence, legibility, and mechanical substance, this concept offers a confident combination of form and function — a watch that impresses equally in everyday life and on special occasions.

FAQs

About David from WATCHDAVID

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.

Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.

WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.

And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.

Shipping & Insurance

Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.

You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...

Revocation & Return Shipping

You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

I will cover the return shipping costs for you.

IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.

To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

Authenticity & Condition of the Watches

I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).

As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...

Warranty & Service

All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.

Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.

Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
