All about the VULCAIN Skindiver Nautique - Black with Khaki Brown Lume
A Classic Reimagined – the Skindiver Nautique
When thinking of Vulcain, most people immediately recall the famous "Cricket" model. However, that wouldn't do the brand justice. Deep in Vulcain's heart lies a whole collection of horological treasures that captivate with their nostalgic charm. One of these hidden masterpieces is the Skindiver Nautique – a dive watch based on a 1960 model, now celebrating a brilliant comeback as a modern reissue. Equipped with the proven automatic caliber ETA 2824, which offers a 38-hour power reserve, it stands for solid technology and timeless elegance.
Vintage Charm Meets Modern Diving Technology
Visually, the Skindiver Nautique remains true to its vintage style – from the case shape to the dial and the typical diving bezel. However, in terms of technology, it has been brought up to date. The 38-millimeter stainless steel case appears particularly high-quality due to its vertical brushing and is water-resistant up to 200 meters. The unidirectional rotating bezel with a black ceramic inlay and white markers ensures precise dive times, while echoing the design language of the 1960s. The double-domed sapphire crystal cover with an anti-reflective inner side reliably protects the dial from scratches and reflections.

Stylish Variants for Individual Needs
The Skindiver Nautique is available in several stylish variants, each with its own distinct character. The version with a matte black dial combines white printed elements with khaki Super-Luminova indices – a combination that looks elegant in daylight and offers maximum readability in the dark. Another version impresses with a vertically brushed blue dial and equally high-contrast luminous elements. Even a version with a salmon-colored dial is available – all models come with a carbon-look leather strap that can be easily changed thanks to its quick-release system.
Craftsmanship from the Heart of Switzerland
Since 1858, the Vulcain manufacture has stood for high-quality watchmaking and mechanical excellence. In a historic manor house in Le Locle – the heart of the Swiss watchmaking region – the brand meticulously crafts its timepieces with an eye for tradition. With over 150 years of history and a rich heritage of innovations, Vulcain has secured a firm place in the world of fine watches. Even today, the company remains true to its identity, combining masterful technology with deep respect for the past.

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
No answer received?
You contacted me, via the contact form, about the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you didn't receive a reply?
Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and crazier and are sending more and more to spam.
I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.
Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com
