All about the VULCAIN Skindiver Nautique - Bronze & Grey
Skindiver Nautique Bronze – Retro Meets Character
When one speaks of Vulcain, many immediately think of the famous "Cricket" model. But this traditional brand has much more to offer than just a single icon. With the Skindiver Nautique Bronze, Vulcain brings back a model that not only evokes nostalgic feelings but also makes the hearts of modern watch enthusiasts beat faster. Inspired by a design from the 1960s, this watch combines classic charm with contemporary technology – all packaged in a striking bronze case.
Timeless Technology – Mechanically Sound at its Core
The Skindiver Nautique is powered by the proven automatic movement ETA 2824, known for its reliability and durability. With a power reserve of 38 hours and a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, this movement offers high precision and ensures that the watch always keeps time. The display of hours, minutes, and seconds is classically analog, in keeping with the original diver's watch tradition.
A Case with Patina Potential
The heart of the watch is the 38-millimeter bronze case, which plays with vertically brushed and polished surfaces – an interplay of texture and shine. Over time, the material develops its very own patina, which makes each watch unique. The unidirectional rotating bezel with a black ceramic insert gives the watch additional functionality and a sporty look, while the case back made of polished stainless steel ensures stability and contrast.

Legibility That Convinces – Even in the Dark
The gray dial of the watch features fine, light brown prints, giving the watch a clear, uncluttered look. The hands and indices coated with white Super-Luminova ensure excellent readability, remaining reliably visible even in low light conditions. The combination of classic color scheme and modern luminous material creates a pleasant balance between vintage flair and functional aesthetics.
Thoughtful Details for Everyday Life
In addition to its design, the watch also impresses with its wearing comfort: The leather strap with black carbon embossing and matching stitching not only offers a comfortable feel but can also be changed effortlessly thanks to the quick-change system. The whole is rounded off by a solid bronze pin buckle (CuAL8), which perfectly matches the case material and adds a harmonious touch to the overall appearance.
Vulcain – A Manufacture with History
The Vulcain brand has been an integral part of Swiss watchmaking history since 1858. In a stately estate in the traditional Le Locle, the heart of the Neuchâtel watch region, exceptional timepieces are still created today. Known for its in-house movements and the iconic Cricket, Vulcain combines artisanal tradition with technical sophistication. Over 150 years of experience and innovation characterize the philosophy of this manufacture, which has always remained true to its identity. With the Skindiver Nautique Bronze, Vulcain impressively demonstrates how vibrant and relevant classic watchmaking can still be today.

FAQs
About David from WATCHDAVID
My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.
If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to contact me directly. I will respond personally.
Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
I will cover the return shipping costs for you.
IMPORTANT: Do not send the watch back yourself; I will send you the free return label.
To do this, please simply contact me. david@watchdavid.com
It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
No answer received?
You contacted me, via the contact form, about the price proposal, directly by email, chat, but you didn't receive a reply?
Then please check your SPAM folder! Many providers are getting crazier and crazier and are sending more and more to spam.
I usually answer every inquiry within 24 hours at the latest. On weekends, it may take a little longer. As a rule, I reply within a few minutes or hours.
Something can also slip through for me. Or the technology isn't working as it should. Feel free to contact me again. david@watchdavid.com
