All about the ZRC GRANDS FONDS MN64 RÉÉDITION GF42168PH Limited Edition, which impresses with its blue dial, blue bezel, and patented strap (e.g., the strap can only be secured over the crown when correctly fastened).
To mark its 120th anniversary, ZRC has undertaken a search for the submarine Q157 PHENIX, which disappeared on June 15, 1939, in Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam, to shed light on an 85-year-old mystery. For this occasion, ZRC® is offering a limited edition of 200 pieces of its Grands Fonds MN64 1000M. In special packaging including the PHENIX mouthpiece and a 1/750th scale model of the identical submarine, this Limited Edition is the ultimate tribute to the 76 sailors who disappeared with its sinking.
Features of the ZRC GRANDS FONDS MN64 RÉÉDITION GF42168PH Limited Edition
Its blue dial was designed to imitate the reflections of water on the sea and the sun's rays penetrating the depths of the ocean. Like all MN64 1000M, it is equipped with the ECS® system, which ensures optimal rinsing after immersion in salt water, removing impurities and salt crystals that may have accumulated between the unidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic insert and the case.
The hands are driven by the new SELLITA SW300-1 automatic movement in its Elaboré version. This 100% Swiss-made movement has an accuracy of +/- 5 seconds/day and a power reserve of 56 hours.
The Crown Protection System™ ensures a secure, waterproof seal. The strap can only be attached if the crown at 6 o'clock is fully screwed down.
1964
After the official approval of the first Grands Fonds 300® in 1960, the French Navy informed the designers that the crown at 3 o'clock was a problem, as it was too vulnerable to manipulation underwater. They asked ZRC® to find a "solution" to protect the crown without hindering wrist movement, and above all, to ensure it could not open underwater. The team got to work and developed the famous crown at 6 o'clock, connected to the case by an exclusive system consisting of a cannon cut from a single block. This makes the Grands Fonds 300® the first and only watch to feature a 100% monobloc case. Furthermore, the case is made from a special molybdenum-reinforced steel, which is completely anti-magnetic (an absolute necessity for the Mine Clearance Divers' Group).

Sehr nice mit den verschiedenen Bändern. Die Werte auf dem Papier sind ja schon bekannt und sprechen eh für sich. Meine absolute Kaufempfehlung. Selten so gut verarbeitete Uhren gesehen."

My name is David, and I've been deeply involved with watches for many years – not just as a dealer, but primarily as a tester, photographer, and classifier.
Since 2018, I’ve been running WATCHDAVID as an independent watch project featuring reviews, videos, and real-world wearing experiences. Many of the watches you'll find here have been on my own wrist – often for extended periods.
WATCHDAVID.SHOP is intentionally personal. I only sell watches that I genuinely stand behind – no anonymous mass-produced goods, no dropshipping, no "quick trends." Experience, transparency, and honest assessment are paramount to me.
And yes: I am not an anonymous seller. I enjoy good food, sneakers, and photography – and I have a proven weakness for Kinder Chocolate.

Shipping & Insurance
Within Germany and the EU, shipping is free of charge. Shipping is handled by DHL and insured up to €500, €2,500 or €25,000, depending on the watch's value. The watches are therefore always sufficiently insured.
You can find the delivery time in the description and/or below the shopping cart button. Some watches are only produced after an order is placed, while others are brand new and, for example, will only be available in a few weeks (so-called PRE-SALE), etc...
Revocation & Return Shipping
You can revoke your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

It is also important that the watch is unworn and free of any signs of wear. After a successful inspection, I will refund the purchase price to you. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase.
Authenticity & Condition of the Watches
I guarantee that all watches I offer are exclusively new, original goods. The watches come directly from the manufacturer and have had no previous owners, unless I explicitly state otherwise (e.g., so-called PHOTO WATCHES).
As an official dealer, I exclusively offer authentic products. These are offered in their original packaging, with a warranty card, etc., just as they are delivered by the dealer. Everything in a so-called Full Set. Some deliver more, some less...
Warranty & Service
All watches purchased from me come with the international manufacturer's warranty, which is usually two years. Some brands even offer a warranty of up to 5 years.
Should a warranty claim arise, I will take care of shipping the watch to the manufacturer or the responsible service center for you and will also organize its return to you. In addition, I will handle all communication with the manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about anything.
Even after the warranty period has expired, I will remain your contact person and support you with service questions or repairs.
