 F-TYPE AND A-TYPE WATCHES

Originally developed for the US Army, the fine Waltham timepieces meet the needs of your daily activities on land, in the air, at sea and in the city with unmistakable distinction, precision and style. The functional trench and military watches meet the highest contemporary standards of quality and precision.

Field & Marine Series - BUILT FOR THE TRENCHES

The harsh conditions in the trenches of the First World War required a waterproof and mustard gas-resistant watch that did not exist until then. Developed for this purpose by Charles Depollier in collaboration with Waltham, the bayonet crown, curved bezel and compressor back technology ensured the first true water resistance of a wristwatch in 1918. Even today, the Field & Marine is the only watch with a bayonet crown.

A watch born of American scientific and industrial ingenuity.

A17 Series - SPECIFIED BY THE USAAF

The A17 was specified by the United States Air Force in 1948 according to MIL-W-6433. It was originally intended to equip long-range bomber crews stationed in Europe. In 1951 she entered service with the F-86 Saber pilots who stood guard during the Korean War. It was then used to equip the crews of the B-47 Stratojet and the F-104 Starfighter.
