It's hard to believe, but half a decade has already passed! In 2018, a good five years ago, you could see a G-SHOCK for the first time in the “Humility” music video by the virtual British band Gorillaz. It was the start of a major collaboration in which each of the four... Comic characters and band members received their own reference:

Die-hard fans of the band, which was founded in 1998, certainly don't need to explain who the individual band members are and what instruments they play. The Gorillaz have achieved cult status throughout their history. Their collaboration with the iconic G-SHOCK brand was part of the 35th anniversary that the Japanese celebrated in 2018.

The fittingly Japanese-born Noodle is the band's guitarist and the only female member. As a tribute to its origins and that of the G-SHOCK brand, the color scheme of the Gorillaz x G-SHOCK DW-5600GRLZN-7ER “Noodle” is reminiscent of the flag of Japan. Its silhouette can be found on the band, the band logo above the display.
