The new YEMA Superman 500 diving watch is an impressive evolution of the legendary YEMA model from the 1960s and a worthy successor to the previous reference. Equipped with our in-house caliber YEMA2000 and waterproof up to 500 meters for the first time, this improved Superman benefits from a modernized design and numerous technical improvements. This positions the watch as the ultimate French professional diving watch
The bezel
The bezel lock, the heart of the Superman diving watch, whose design was patented many years ago, as well as the crown barrel have been redesigned to ensure optimal functionality and to ensure a secure hold of the bezel clasp. The bezel and crown have also been revised. New micro-holes in certain areas of the case, directly under the bezel, allow for improved rotation of the bezel click spring and more precise alignment of the bezel insert.
The case back
The case back made of 316L stainless steel has been increased from a height of 1.5 millimeters to 2.2 millimeters to ensure water resistance of 50 bar. The historic YEMA logo, embossed using a hydraulic press, is now refined using various microblasting processes to achieve a more precise and detailed finish .
The new winding crown
The architecture of the winding crown has been completely revised. The crown tube and winding shaft have been modified to allow optimal function of the various extendable crown positions and improved operation of the crown when setting the caliber functions. When winding and setting the time, the Superman's optimized crown conveys a feeling of stability and quality.
Thanks to a new arrangement of the crown seals, the Superman achieves a water resistance of 3 bar when the crown is turned on. This allows the bezel to be used on the water surface before the dive to record the most accurate dive times possible.
