The new Superman 500 GMT represents a significant development of the legendary YEMA model from the 1960s. This new edition retains the most important professional diving functions and also offers a 3-time zone GMT function for world travelers. Equipped with our in-house caliber YEMA3000 and waterproof to 500 meters for the first time, this improved version of Superman benefits from a modernized architecture and numerous technical improvements. The bezel
The bezel lock, the heart of the Superman and a design that was patented long ago, as well as the crown barrel have been redesigned for optimal functionality and secure hold strong> of the bezel clasp.
The bezel and crown have also received a new design. Micro-drillings in certain areas of the case, directly under the bezel, allow optimized rotation of the bezel click spring and more precise alignment of the bezel insert.
The case back
The height of the case back made of 316L stainless steel has been increased from 1.5 millimeters to 2.2 millimeters to ensure water resistance of 50 bar. The historicYEMA logo, embossed with a hydraulic press, is now processed through various microblasting processes to achieve a more precise and accurate finish .
The sapphire crystal
The new double-domed sapphire crystal improves readability, increases resistance and gives the watch a distinct vintage look.
The glass thickness has been reduced by 0.3 millimeters and the outer diameter increased by 0.6 millimeters to ensure an optimal fit in the housing. With a glass height of now 2.6 millimeters, the attractive magnification effect remains when viewed from the side.
