DEAD STOCK - the "Russel Hobbs" was introduced in 2018 as part of a collection of four watches - all of which are available in my shop!

Half a decade has passed again! In 2018, a good five years ago, we were able to admire a G-SHOCK watch for the first time in the “Humility” music video by the virtual British band Gorillaz. That was just the start of a larger collaboration in which each of the four band members and cartoon characters got their own reference:

Of course, real fans of the comic band founded in 1998 don't need to explain who the individual band members are and exactly which instruments they play. Over the course of their history, the Gorillaz have achieved cult status. Their collaboration with the iconic G-SHOCK brand was part of the 35th anniversary that the Japanese celebrated in 2018.

Gorillaz x G-SHOCK GX-56BBGRLR-1ER “Russel Hobbs” - the reference in detail

Russel Hobbs is the band's drummer. Its GX-56BBGRLR-1ER is based on the DW-5600BB-1ER and therefore visually stands out from its sister models. The all-black watch has a “GZ” lettering on the resin strap and a negative display.

"Would you like something more? The Gorillaz x G-SHOCK GX-56BBGRLR-1ER “Russel Hobbs” is just as lovingly designed as its sister models. However, since it is based on a different base model, it has more functions and is a little higher quality. Anyone who uses the watch a lot will appreciate the additional functions!"
