Reduced to the essentials: the new PIONEER Silva
Silva: The Latin word for forest describes the origin of the new model, which now complements the PIONEER collection. In the deepest Black Forest, in the tranquil town of Güternbach, the watchmakers of the traditional company Hanhart produce every single piece of the new PIONEER Silva. The watch itself is reduced to the essentials with a 38.5 mm diameter and 10 mm case height, no frills and flat. The tidy dial combines modern design with classic elements.
A look into the past never hurt when it came to design inspiration. The new PIONEER Silva is based on a model from the in-house museum. The historical model Kal 36/39, named after the Hanhart caliber 36/39 with 15 jewels, served as a simple and tidy historical model. The basic design was interpreted in a modern way, further developed and implemented in a contemporary manner by the Black Forest manufacturer.
The tidy dial and the straight-lined hands offer perfect readability thanks to the contrast. The distinctive points between the numbers were taken from the historical model. As with the other PIONEER models, Hanhart also uses the historical logo on the dial of the PIONEER Silva. So that the latest watch from Hanhart not only looks good but also runs precisely, the reliable automatic movement SW 200 from the renowned Swiss manufacturer Sellita works inside in the best Swiss Made quality. It offers in addition to a stop-seconds a power reserve of up to 38 hours. The movement with a skeletonized Hanhart rotor can be admired through the screwed sapphire crystal back. In keeping with the style of the watch, the case made of polished stainless steel was kept simple. With a case diameter of 38.5 mm, a Gcase height of 10 mm and a lug-to-lug dimension of 44 mm
On the wrist, a black calfskin strap or a Milanese steel bracelet ensures wearing comfort from day one.For additional comfort, the black calfskin strap is equipped with Alcantara on the inside. A clasp with the historic Hanhart logo ensures a secure hold.

My conclusion:
"What a cool watch. The 38.5mm suits this watch perfectly. The white numbers, indices and hands provide an extremely cool contrast to the black dial! The workhorse Sellita SW-200 provides excellent service with a power reserve of 38 hours. Personally, I like the combination with the black leather strap best."
